i'm not expecting many of you to "know" me, but i have been here years under various names and have a few of you on fb, but i just wanted to say.....

i posted the other week stressing as had come on. and asking for positive stories about conceiving post - 30 (cant find thread to link!) and got lots and lots of lovely tales of success ....WELL it looks like whatever it was i thought was a period (sorry for tmi) was NOT a period, was very light and went away after a day or so

as for the last few weeks i have been feeling more and more weird, sick, achy boobs, completely lost my appetite, mega emotional etc

so i did a test and it was A BFP!! in fact i have done TWO tests :o its happened so quick i can't believe it

i can't tell many people in RL (have told one or 2 close friends) as i am probably only 4 - 6 weeks ish

this will be DC3....am i mad??? Shock

Congratulations! Flowers You're mad but oh gosh it will be so so worthwhile I'm 35 weeks with DC2 and I know damn well I'm mad I ask myself quite often "What the hell were you thinking!?" Then I remember teeny tiny baby feet and newborn baby cuddles/smell and I know everything is worth it. Smile

LittleTurtle · 15/03/2013 14:23

Yay! Excellent news

ChaoticisasChaoticdoes · 15/03/2013 15:15

Congratulations Thanks

Mmmnotsure · 15/03/2013 15:15

Many congratulations.

Three is a lovely number! You will have the same kind of age gap as we have (and that has worked out v well).

Fwiw, I didn't tell the dcs until I was sure it had stuck (sorry to mention that), so dc1 wouldn't have any upset, and until we had started telling other people. Dc1 was old enough to understand a bit at 6, and I didn't want dc1 feeling left out if other adults were talking/hinting about it.

BigRedBox · 15/03/2013 15:20

My dc3 is no longer a bump (in fact she's currently climbing all over me trying to brush my hair Hmm). But my other two were 4 and 5 when I was pregnant. I told them around 18 weeks once the bump was pretty noticeable. I'd prepared myself for "how did the baby get in there?" but instead got asked "how does it come out?". They're both boys so we have no vocabulary at all to describe female parts. I was totally flummoxed.

wigglesrock · 15/03/2013 15:24

Brilliant news, I think I posted on your original thread.

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 15/03/2013 15:25

BRILLIANT!

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 15/03/2013 15:32

Congratulations Grin wonderful news!
I answered the "how does the baby get out?" with "A special space called the birth canal appears when it's time, and I go to the hospital and the midwife helps the baby out" and they seemed quite happy with that - they were 4 and 2 when my youngest was born.

Squitten · 15/03/2013 15:47

Congratulations!

I've also just fallen pregnant with DC3. I conceived very late so am also around 5wks pregnant at the moment and have to get scanned again next week to confirm.

My kids are 4 and 2 and the 4yr. We're not sure when we're going to tell people but we think the 4yr old has already twigged something because he asked me if I was going to the hospital to get "a baby put in your baby tummy" and is now adament that he wants a baby sister to go with his baby brother...! I imagine we'll tell them properly after the 12wk scan.
