If you are fortunate enough to be so regular you can say how many days early it was, one weird month will do you no harm.

Mine arrived 5 days after 6 weeks of lochia finished and has now been ongoing for 6 more weeks (getting used to mini pill). I'm not a happy bunny!

Sometimes nothing happens for so long I start to think "Yay they are finally over". Then along it comes ande can be regular as clockwork. Then damn it all I go only a couple of weeks and another one comes along. Oh and there was the one that seemed to drag on for ages, never starting properly but never finishing.

Any post-menopausal MNetters out there know how long this dithering about can last before they finally pack up?

That happened to me last month!

Mine are pretty heavy and very painful, its a bit silly but catching me unawares means I'm not 'mentally prepared' for it iyswim! Today has been pretty much a write off as have been curled up with painkillers and a hot water bottle all day. Have been taking painkillers since 7am and they've only just started to kick in :(

I will join you in being pissed off. I have a short cycle of 26 days and my bloody period has started on day 24. I feel robbed of my two extra days!
