to not want friend to do my hair

My best friend is a hairdresser, shes done my hair (I have highlights) since she qualified about 2 years ago and to be fair it was pretty disastrous, she'd leave the bleach on too long and rush it, generally do a poor job because it was me, her friend, who's too nice to say, especially as I was getting it done for free. On the whole I was never really happy but kept quiet as, like I said, it was free and I was under the impression all bleached hair went stringy and snapped every time you got it wet!!!

Anyway she's recently been poorly so I've been going to someone else. Now I love the way she does my hair and its better condition and a better colour than its ever been!

So my problem is now my friend is better how do I tell her I'd rather pay for someone else to do it!

Er, yes, just say tell your friend you are really happy with your new hairdresser.

You can't go back to having it wrecked for free. And your friend has enough experience now not to want to do friends hair for free, so she'll probably be relieved.

Yes! She's commented that my hair needs doing and said that she feels up to doing it again! I just know she's going to be offended! I need to break it to her in a gentle way but making sure she knows its not just this once so I dont have to think of excuses every time my hair needs doing!
