Ok, so it's just past 10pm and their ratty little mutts have been yapping for well over the past our, and are likely to all night.

This has been going on for weeks. At first it was only one small terrier that they kept locked out most of the day, but now it's two.

It's freezing cold outside, with snow still falling. Their is a kennel in their garden. Ut I don't think the dogs use it as they are constantly at the back door of this house.

How the fuck they can live with the noise is beyond me.

I can't go round to them as I am a lone parent with 2 children asleep upstairs (and one who can't because of the constant fucking yipping). Besides, its one of "those" houses with washing machines and parts of engines outside and quite frankly the occupants scare the living bejesus outta me in the daylight, let alone at night!

Of course you can go round to them for goodness sake...unless the house next door is in another street.

Just ignore the garden 'ornaments', knock and inform them politely that your kids can't sleep.

It's on another street, their garden backs onto mine but it's a good few minutes walk.

Then speak to them tomorrow.

If they're unhelpful/uncaring about it then report them

But you should at least give them the opportunity to put it right first.

Must be the season for it.....

Thankfully all quiet here tonight.

Oh no. We have the same problem Angry

Our neighbours are similar to yours too so can empathise about your reluctance to speak to them...but we did speak to them and all was fine for a little while then they went back to their old ways with their dogs so that was that. Council have been crap but I'm starting a diary again so will fight on.

Speak to them tomorrow and let us know how you get on. It's such a bloody pain isn't it, especially when it affects your sleep.

Can't wait to leave this crap hole later in the year.

Will go round tomorrow for sure.

Thanks for all the advice, my bed calls ZZZZzzzz

Can you approach it like "Hi, I heard your dogs barking all night last night and was worried that something was wrong at your house. I thought I'd pop over and check everything was ok." If they are reasonable people they'll get the hint, if not, then you aren't coming at them aggressively, but from the position of a concerned neighbour.

If they don't do anything after that, then report the fuck out of them.
