Caister Soul Weekenders etc (ok, so I never actually went to one, but I wanted to!) Isn't there a gap in the market opportunity, to cater to those of us who used to enjoy getting down just for the funk of it!

Absolutely. I am near your age and have been reduced to taking over the dancefloor at toddlers' discos.

Heard recently of a disco for (ahem) older people called Hip Replacement. Don't know where it is, though. Good luck.

hahaha PowerPants I used to be the saddo in our local pub on a Fri evening boogieing away while the youngsters were dancing in an "ironic" fashion.

Thanks Gran did a quick google and found a MySpace entry with not a lot of action. I thought of calling it a GAB night (Get a Babysitter) with an eye to the 30-50+ crowd.
