Aibu to think friend should follow her own advice when it comes to relationships?

I recently broke up with my partner, it was a fantastic relationship but the last month was just horrible - a lot I have kept to myself.

Our last phone conversation went like this -

Me: Can you please just talk to me?
Him: No, fuck off.
Me: Please?
Him: No, fuck off.

Lovely man.

Anyway I told my friend about the conversation - my friend commented that shes glad I'm not with someone who would speak to me like that.

Whilst I'm lucky to have a friend who thinks this (and I do agree) ... her boyfriend talks to her just as bad if not worse.

I didn't say anything at the time because I know it wouldn't make a difference.

Aibu to think she should follow her own advice?

Tbh I think she was probably trying to support you.

You know with the old 'You're too good for him...no loss' sort of thing?

Well, technically, she didn't give you any advice. She said 'I'm glad you're not with someone who'd speak to you like that'.

Not - 'you shouldn't be with someone like that'.

She's happy that you're doing better than her, IYSWIM.

It's shit for her though - YANBU about that. But you know what they say. She'll only dump him when she's good and ready, not when someone else tells her to. All you can do is be there if and when (fingers crossed).

Im not sure I know many people that actually live by their advice.

What they are probably saying is don't do what I do.
