potted sunflowers I have 3 different types so one of each type per child [as in growing but no ready to be put in the garden yet] and a baby lindt bunny.
I have 9 nieces and nephews and will be hosting the easter egg hunt in my garden so will be paying have bought in aldi all the treats for that and will also be feeding them all and their parents as well as my own 5 and DSC x2.
I am doing the hunt and dinner to ease the pressure on my Mum who is not able to do it this year.
DSis has text me a list of eggs her DC would like, to be fair she is not being grabby just making sure her DD with allergies will be able to eat anything she is given, yes the aldi ones are safe for DC

Sounds like a lovely idea.

I am getting the feeling that it might be seen as mean but they are forgetting the added cost of hosting easter,
Also all the DC have a garden for their plants and I have spare so if the plant died it can be replaced

Sounds like a lovely idea. YANBU.

If you are doing the ee hunt, then no need at all for anything else I'd have thought tbh. Thats more than generous.

Our nieces and nephews get the 2 for £2.50 eggs if they are lucky, but normally nothing

Tks I am already dreading the amount of Choc the Dc will get and consume and would prefer they get a colouring book or a pound shop football but then as my DSis would say I am just weird with my dislike of cheap chocolate used to make easter eggs Grin

Sounds fine to me. I don't normally buy my nephews anything for Easter.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 05/03/2013 20:19

Why is it expected that children get presents for Easter? I never did, bar one or two chocolate eggs, and will do the same for mine when they're old enough. You're going to loads of trouble and expense already and anyone who complains about the gifts is being very u indeed.

thegreylady · 05/03/2013 20:21

I give my dgc socks and an Easter colouring book.

kinkyfuckery · 05/03/2013 20:22

That sounds like a lovely idea! I'd be well chuffed if my kids received them instead of yet more bloody chocolate that I then have to eat!
