To think that MNHQ are probably aware of the spamming

And that people posting " reported" on every thread serves no purpose other than bringing the thread up. Just report it FFS you don't need to tell everyone you have. It's as if they are looking for a gold star or something.

BadabingBadabong · 03/03/2013 13:17

It's to stop everyone reporting it, I think.

KatyTheCleaningLady · 03/03/2013 13:18

Agreed. Stop bumping the damn threads.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 03/03/2013 13:18

the purpose of posting 'reported' is to save multiple people reporting and swamping the system.

squeakytoy · 03/03/2013 13:18

It is getting a bit bloody ridiculous now. Is there nobody awake at MNHQ yet?

gordyslovesheep · 03/03/2013 13:18

I don't think we need to get snappy with each other Grin

I agree - yanbu - but lets not fight we must be united against the spam

HQ may be aware but they are also asleep - 6 pages worth of spam still there undeleted and no response at all

Sunnywithshowers · 03/03/2013 13:20

It's to save people reporting the same thread twice, not for gold stars. So YABU for that, thanks.

There's a post on site stuff about it and they have asked for reports.

Goal · 03/03/2013 13:20

But if you ignore it it slips down very quickly. No harm in several people reporting.

OP posts:
BadabingBadabong · 03/03/2013 13:21

There is a response, look in active convos.

HildaOgden · 03/03/2013 13:21

HQ may possibly be busy watching sport

BumpingFuglies · 03/03/2013 13:22

It's to let them know that someone has done it, so that they don't get overwhelmed by reports and can deal with it more quickly. If you don't say you've reported, loads of others will. Common sense I would have thought. Confused

BeckAndCall · 03/03/2013 13:23

That's certainly why I did it, to stop everyone else having to.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 03/03/2013 13:26

I just 'hid' all of the posts, didn't reply to them.

BadabingBadabong · 03/03/2013 13:27

It's only bumped up by 1, then it slips down quickly.

TapirBackRider · 03/03/2013 13:27

There were a few of us reporting these threads last night, some quicker than others which is why there are a couple of 'reported' replies on the same one.

You post that it's been reported so that others won't - which stops MNHQ from being snowed under with multiple reports of the same post.

But thanks for the FFS and gold star comment.

KatyTheCleaningLady · 03/03/2013 13:31

I guess it does make sense for people to reply with "reported." Sorry if I was rude!

GregBishopsBottomBitch · 03/03/2013 14:12

Getting irritating now, theres loads of them clogging up the AIBU pages.

Sparklingbrook · 03/03/2013 14:16

Goal looking for a gold star? Confused if you see 'reported' then you know it's reported. Don't see anything wrong with it.

Foggles · 03/03/2013 14:18

If nobody posts on the spam threads - they all go in unanswered messages (475 and counting) and MNHQ knows where they all are.

Sparklingbrook · 03/03/2013 14:19

Mmm. True Foggles. we need some guidance from MNHQ as to what they want us to do

Dandy902 · 03/03/2013 14:22

eh??? what have I missed?? [thicko emotion]

MmeLindor · 03/03/2013 14:22

Think that people post 'reported' to prevent multiple reports. I have stopped reporting them though cause we are just adding to their workload by spamming them with more reports.

I think hide is the best option, and stop whinging about them not doing enough. I would imagine that it is all hands on deck and pretty much bedlam there.

How about we all just say thanks for their work rather than complaining?

Thanks MNHQ

Tiredmumno1 · 03/03/2013 14:24

Well said Mme Smile

Keep up the good work MNHQ

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/03/2013 14:24

Totally agree MmeLindor, the voice of reason as usual Grin

CruCru · 03/03/2013 15:30

Problem is, there is probably a skeleton staff at MNHQ on Sundays and the spammers may realise this. We may be moaning about one poor soul who is having to delete hundreds of posts on her own.

andubelievedthat · 04/03/2013 10:17

A.K.A., put up with it ,we intend to max. out the profit on this site, (no tech. savvy staff out of hours.)
