Perfect description of last nights events, made me laugh did that.

They still make money from us even if it isnt directly.
Agree that they should cough up for nighttime cover.

It will take time to stop the spam so I wouldn't assume they are not doing anything about it behind the scenes

Just fyi and all, if you want us to see/reply to a particular issue/complaint/note of praise , then it's best to start a thread in Site Stuff - which we do monitor on a regular basis.

Sorry about the spam at the weekend. It was a spambot attack - over 200 "posters" involved - which can take a fair bit of clearing up.

We do have systems in place to tackle this.

As we've been explaining on the main spam thread in Site Stuff, there are several extra measures we can take in situations like this but they do involve have some fairly drastic effects on some of the workings of the site, so we only implement them if we really have to. We have implemented them now, though.

We are also working on some extra measures that won't affect other stuff so much, so that we can have them running on a more regular basis.
