I have a proposition. MNHQ, there are lots of lovely MNers here in the Americas. We wouldn't mind being in charge overnight. Just give us the Big Red Delete Button and we will keep a vigilant eye out for you overnight and we won't shut the place down for updates while the Americas MNers are bloody posting like you do. Whadaya say?

MNHQ - I'm not sure how the site is moderated at night but maybe it needs to be done differently. Tonight the site is covered in spam, previously a thread attacking one member was left to run all night unchecked, and on another occasion a really nasty thread went on until morning. I think some (more) nighttime moderators might be needed.

I'm surprised this happened, but also surprised that it was possible. I would have thought that Mumsnet is now big enough that someone would be in charge in the overnight hours.

I have reported a few but as I don't report many threads I didn't realise there was a "button" for spam.

I can't seem to hide them as I'm on the app. I have been reporting but I'm if that's causing more harm than good - clogging up MNHQ's inbox for when they wake up.

I had to get through several night feeds with twins, without being able to read AIBU at the same time Sad. It added to my distress on what was already a long night. Surely I can sue someone?
