Are UKIP just a 'respectable' face of the BNP?

The title says it really.

1 - are they more popular than Labour and Conservative?
2 - Lib Dems are still popular?!
3 - What are UKIP all about? The Daily Mail are crazy over them (including the people who comment on the paper)
4 - What is so bad about the EU? why is the Daily Mail so against it?

I hate politics but I am Labour through and through (hate all parties actually, but I can just about stomach labour)

  1. What would the country look like under UKIP leadership?

Arrgh so many questions. Thanks so much

Oh, dear. If your reading comprehension is not up to scratch for a simple thread, that is a pity. Sad

Do you not worry you might struggle to cope in a nice British environment where most people are fluent in English? Sad Sad

What I suggest is, you read the whole thread nice and slowly, using a dictionary for hard words, and then you will learn what the question was. Smile

I really don't see why any of us should repeat our very obvious points just because your command of English is poor.

LadyPessaryPam · 01/03/2013 23:21

No Amber I am fully cognisant of the other policies, you are being very condescending.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 01/03/2013 23:21

amber - I totally agree, that is what is happening. It's awful.

AmberLeaf · 01/03/2013 23:21

You know that the policy of inclusion is teaching children with SNs alongside those without?

fromparistoberlin · 01/03/2013 23:21

what toadinhole said

I am not worried about UKIP, jujst cant see them getting in

LadyPessaryPam · 01/03/2013 23:22

LDR post the paragraph and I will address it, you sound a bit desperate tbh.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 01/03/2013 23:24

pam, why should I pander to your inability to understand my English? Don't you think that is terribly arrogant of you?

Why don't you learn to read properly. Why don't you use basic skills?

After all, it seems clear this is what you expect of other people and their children. If you cannot do the same yourself, what a mockery of these policies it is!

Btw, you are reversing the letters in my name - a basic error you might learn to address if you studied the English alphabet more carefully.

I am shocked that people who can't even get letters in the right order think they have a right to be in this country, draining our resources.

AmberLeaf · 01/03/2013 23:25

I just posted it Lady.

ravenAK · 01/03/2013 23:28

Ukip education policy, including abolition of inclusion for children with SEN, has gone all 404.

Which would, of course, have nothing to do with frantic housekeeping to remove the more swivel-eyed stuff, in the face of the general populace suddenly actually wanting to have a shufti at what they stand for.

In answer to OP - no, they are a different kettle of protest vote fodder zenophobic loonpants fish. But not much more electable, thank chuff.

AmberLeaf · 01/03/2013 23:44

How strange.

Yep Ive just redone that whos policies would you pick survey and the UKIP education policy has been changed from earlier today.

No mention of the abandonment of inclusion or 'allowing' parents to choose special schools.

How very odd.

ravenAK · 01/03/2013 23:47

Follow the links posted earlier on this thread. 404 Not Found.

AmberLeaf · 01/03/2013 23:49

Yes I just went directly to their site too and saw 404 not found when I searched education.

AmberLeaf · 01/03/2013 23:49

..and people take this party seriously?

Well, if you liked what Maria Hutchings stands for, you might just as well, I suppose.

But yeah - nastier than the Nasty Party. Not much of a manifesto, really.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 01/03/2013 23:53

Not sure anyone called 'someone who cares about immigration' a 'racist'. hill.

ambe - well, god, we'll hope not.

AmberLeaf · 01/03/2013 23:53

Do their other policies not concern you?

Toadinthehole · 01/03/2013 23:53

Elections that determine who governs involve a heck of a lot more scrutiny of policy than by-elections or indeed Euro elections. What would happen if UKIP went into the next general election polling at 30%? Answer: people would think twice, like some did with the Lib Dems in 2010. Except that UKIP would lose most, not some, of their support.

In the meantime they'll do well in the odd by-election and council seat until the Tories pinch back most of their support.

fromparistoberlin · 02/03/2013 00:01

i do remember being very bemused, and concerned when the mayoral leaflet for London was

UKIP
BNP
the other racist one
then the usual 3 plus greens

I like a bit of socialism personally

i cant remember but their MAJOR policy bar antiimmigration was to bring back smoking in pubs!!!!!

i do agree though that its nigh in impoosible to express immigration concerns, or even integration concerns.

Toadinthehole · 02/03/2013 00:16

Arn't Respect kind of socialist?

(not that I'd vote for them if I was)

Not sure any Socialists were contesting Eastleigh.

Labour retained their usual 10% share of the vote, which ought to be a warning to them to get their finger out & target Southern constituencies properly.

Amusing though it is to watch the right wing tear itself apart, we're WAY overdue a coherent set of policies from the main opposition...

AmberLeaf · 02/03/2013 00:23

Says someone who supports UKIP.
