to ask you savvy shoppers to help me find a non-girly 12" bike for my little girls birthday?

Hi All. At wits end! It's DD's 4th birthday next weekend and she'd like a bike. She isn't into pink and sparkly (also nice if we could pass it down to little bro). I like this radio flyer but can't find it in UK. She has a very similar trike.

I'm not from Britain so don't know where to look beyond the obvious places like Toys r us, Halfords and the supermarkets.

I'd like to spend £60-80 but will stretch to £100 if necessary.

Thank you to anyone who can help!

CunfuddledAlways · 28/02/2013 20:56

CunfuddledAlways · 28/02/2013 20:57

maybe something like this??

CunfuddledAlways · 28/02/2013 20:59

this or this??

ok i may be done for now =]

I think she's ready for a push bike. I like the plainness of the balance. You could snazz it up a bit with accessories easily enough! That Mickey one is a possibility though. She'd like it a lot more than me! Grin

i have the same issues with my daugthers not overly into pink but dont want anything to boyish so spend my life googling unisex stuff =]

hope you find something, their are a few ideas their well within buget, also remember at 12" it will only be for a year or so

Recomend a balance bike - espically if she's little (sounds like it if she needs a 12 inch). Ds2 loves his (aged4). We'll probably move him to a pedal bike when he's 5 or so. We have the adventure one, good for him as he's tall if I had my time again I'd buy the strider one - very light and the handle bars are easier to handle.

She is diddy. She's 102 cm. She gets around on her scooter happily enough at the moment.

I'm really struggling with what to get her for her birthday this year. She got a bit spoilt at Chrimbo so doesn't need anything.

to have a completely different view than lego we got our dd1 for her 3rd birthday a 2nd hand 12" bike and she loves it has been able to peddle it alone for around 7 months or so

CunfuddledAlways · 28/02/2013 21:13

102 is just fine my dd1 who i think is really tall is neary 4 and 101cm but then my dd2 who is 2 is teeny at 71cm

I was just thinking about a bike with an eye towards big girl school in September. Our first 2 choice schools are twice the distance from home as her preschool and I don't want to drive if I can get away with it.

that will give her enough time to learn to peddle and control it etc and if she cant manage at first you said she likes scooter so its good to have the option
