It's just a silly crush. Never spoken to him. Don't intend to. Happily commited and I assume he is too. However, it does brighten my morning a little to see him... anyone else have a silly crush on someone they don't know?

I have previously had a crush on a distant colleague. I say distant because although we worked in the same store, we were in different departments.

I can see no harm in it, as long as it stays a crush. You don't intend on doing anything about it, so IMO having the odd wee daydream or butterflies here and there won't harm anyone.

You say you've never spoken to him, chances are he has a David Beckham voice or something that'll put you off Grin

Exactly my thoughts... to actually know anything about him would completely ruin the illusion :)

Yanbu...it makes the dreary routine more exciting! I have one too!

Softlysoftly · 28/02/2013 20:49

Oh yes lots :)

CognitiveOverload · 28/02/2013 20:50

Ha ha! Feel less silly now :)

He looks like my dp too...weird I know...but kind of reminds me why I find dp attractive.

Oh, yes. Always makes my day to see them.

Silly crushes are lovely. I used to have one on a colleague when he first started but we're quite good friends now and I'm too used to him to harbour those kinds of feelings now. I miss the frisson. Enjoy it!

I have the same, my husband knows and teases me about it, I just appreciate his face!

TheOriginalNutcracker · 28/02/2013 21:24

Oh there is a gorgeous dad at my ds's school. I stand with him and a few others, and so I do talk to him. However if it happens to be just me and him, I can never think of a bloody thing to say.

TattyDevine · 28/02/2013 21:25

Oh its great, one of the dads at the gate (who is lovely and who's wife is lovely) always gives me a wink as if to say "if we were both single but we are not so hi" and its just nice and safe. And you go "yeah I still got it baby yeah"

CecyHall · 28/02/2013 21:27

I have to admit too, sometimes it's the only reason I brush my hair Blush

ceebeegeebies · 28/02/2013 21:29

Nope, there are a couple of them at the DC's school - in particular one who is the spitting image resembles a very famous popstar who I have had a crush on for 20 years Wink

twinklestar2 · 28/02/2013 21:39

Me! There's a guy at work. He's 50 and wears glasses! but he's so lovely!! He has such a nice voice. He's nearly 20 years older than me Blush

Whatdoiknowanyway · 28/02/2013 21:49

There was a guy I worked with. Much older, silver haired, very happily married (as I was/am) who i had a bit of a distant crush on.
Latterly he had Alzheimer's and it was his funeral last week. Was sad, but lovely to see all the tributes, affection and proof that he was someone worthy of a crush all those years ago.

Jake canuso has been mine for quite a while. Unfortunately I don't get to see him at the school gates but nothing a box set of benidorm can't fix
