To not know who is the bigger idiot - me or my boss

Wrote a report for a big client, sent it to my boss, he said it was completely wrong and shouted at me about it in front of the rest of the team.

Spent a whole day rewriting and sent it back to him.

By mistake, I did not send him the most recently saved version. In the version I sent, only the first 3 paragraphs were different. All the rest is the same as before, and now no longer makes sense because the first 3 paragraphs indicate a completely different direction.

My boss responded saying he loves the whole report.

Who is the bigger idiot? Me for sending him the wrong file? (IDIOT!!!) Or him for obviously not reading it, just wanting to shout at me/ then deciding he likes me again?

And more importantly -what on earth do I do now?!! Have to edit the report - but in keeping with the original version or the new one?

(In my defence I'm 21 weeks pregnant and my brain departed about 20 weeks ago)

I would go in and see him looking confused. Tell him exactly what happened and can he clarify why he loves the new report because it didn't make sense to you as it stood.

That's shit that he yelled at you in front of everyone, really unacceptable and unprofessional.

him for shouting at you in front of colleagues.
