... and the one i gave her breaks do i need to replace it?

I'm moving and have a space for a dryer but mine won't fit so she has offered me her smaller one, this thing is a few years ago we swapped straightners the ones i gave her broke 6mo later and she made me replace them i'm worried about what would happen with a dryer and would i be ok to tell her in advance that if either breaks it's up to the new owner to fi/replace.

Mine is a better model more expensive but has been used a lot hers is a cheap version but not used very much. i doubt she would replace hers if i took it because she's always 'skint'

If you swap, you swap.

You can't turn round and demand a replacement six months down the line.

Have you looked at how much you could sell yours for and put it towards a new one? Pass it off as treating yourself?

Even with agreeing upfront 'no take backies' I think I would be irritated in advance at the inevitable guilt trip if hers packed up before mine.

I'd sell it locally , less hassle
