AIBU to enjoy cooking meat even though I don't eat it?

I made a roast today and roasted a whole chicken (we had friends coming round).

I really enjoy doing it and it looked lovely when I'd finished. I had no desire whatsoever to eat it though (life-long veggie). I love cooking anyway, but I always feel proud when I've cooked meat for meat-eaters, not sure why....

Am I weird?

Obviously I wouldn't cook meat for non-meat eaters - not sure why I wrote it like that Hmm

What's the difference between cooking it and eating it?

I know what you mean. Cooked my first chicken recently (free range organic) and was SO proud of myself! I wouldn't have eaten it if you'd paid me but my family eat meat and I'm happy to cook it for them every now and then. So long as it's good quality meat.

Well I choose not to eat meat, as I don't like to eat it, but I don't have a problem with the concept of eating meat, so I don't have a problem cooking it for DH (who loves meat). I just don't want to eat it myself. I know I'm weird.

it does sound odd - how do you know if it tastes OK, or even tastes nice if you don't eat it yourself? :)
