To think sofas are for sitting on, not lying on.

I know I am (maybe!) but for some reason it drives me mad that DH doesn't sit on the sofa, he always lies on it. If he wants to lie down, why doesn't he go upstairs instead of taking up all the room.

I have two sofas to myself every night that I can just lounge on. Too much choice!

Booyhoo · 21/02/2013 23:32

just sit/lie on top/infront of/behind him?

dont people lie together on sofas with their OHs?

5madthings · 21/02/2013 23:32

I always lay on the sofa!

My mil has a hideous ercol sofa which you cant even sit on comfortably, let alone lay on.

I agree with mrsdevere I am either moving or laying down, sitting is half added!

OP, YANBU. DH drives me up the wall.

He also lies on the children's bedroom floor and complains that they sit/climb on him. Biscuit

Mad I had an Ercol sofa, i hated the thing, if you dared lay on the sofa cushions would move and fall off.

bedmonster · 22/02/2013 10:06

Booy, I can't see how that would be physically possible for us! We aren't supersize, our sofas are a regular 2 +3 seater, but we have one each. Neither of us are fussed which we get but we do both naturally gravitate to the smaller one! I am an avid lie-r down and stretcher outer, Dp is the same.

Booyhoo · 22/02/2013 16:43

i always went for the bigger sofa, even though i was smaller than exp but we both ended up on the same one anyway. not saying it was spacious but it didn't bother either of us enough to stop doing it.
