What is this thing you call a 'wine stopper'? Surely getting to the bottom of the bottle stops the wine coming out?

I've gone with your method, doogle, and you're right, there is now no more wine coming out of the bottle.

Arghhhh - there's no more wine coming out of my bottle!

Well of course it's a sign. Wine is not meant to be 'saved' for another day. For goodness sake, surely everyone knows this.

The only time you should stop up wine is if it's the really cheap drain cleaner type that's been left after a party but hey, it wouldn't be half bad in a stew.

Funnily enough a friend just posted a pic on my wall on fb which said 'The other day someone told me I could make icecubes with leftover wine. I was confused... what is leftover wine?'

Plus those damn Hairy Bikers have been going on about using leftover chocolate tonight. This also perplexes me.

Wine stopper? That's almost as silly as that Nigella (or Delia? Nah unlikely to be Delia) thing about freezing leftover wine in ice cube trays for cooking. Pah!
