Leftovers taste best for breakfast

Yamyoid · 18/02/2013 08:16

Yanbu Grin

MrsKoala · 18/02/2013 08:17

Only if you eat it cold straight out of the fridge. Chinese food is also best this way too :)

seeker · 18/02/2013 08:28

I've eaten the chick peas, which are my favourites.Shall I have the chicken Kashmir as well, which is dd's favourite? You decide!

The chicken kashmir is probably rat & horse - you would be doing DD a favour (if you can bring yourself to eat it).

Nagoo · 18/02/2013 08:32

For guilt-free breakfasting you should save a miniscule portion of each thing for DD and pretend to yourself that it was half of the leftovers.

EllieCook · 18/02/2013 08:32

breakfast of champions! :) go for it!

LackaDAISYcal · 18/02/2013 08:33

I love cold curry for breakfast...YANBU

BlackholesAndRevelations · 18/02/2013 08:33

ithaka no, I'm sure it's chicken Hmm

I think the idea of cold takeaway for breakfast is utterly vile, but hey, everyone's different!

Dillydollydaydream · 18/02/2013 08:34

Mmmm cold leftovers are delicious. I much prefer cold pizza for breakfast than when I've had it for dinner, but I am pregnant!

ithaka · 18/02/2013 08:36

On what basis are you sure it is chicken? Because they said so? One thing we have surely learned recently is that you cannot identify meat based on what you have been informed it is meant to be.

ScarletLady02 · 18/02/2013 08:46

YANBU at all.

I had leftover chinese for breakfast yesterday Grin

Primadonnagirl · 18/02/2013 08:49

It is morally wrong not to....whilst you're in the fridge could you please pass me the leftover pasta so I can eat that cold? And if there's a left over roastie I ll have that too ( surely its just a variation on hash browns!)

seeker · 18/02/2013 08:52

Well, whatever meat it was, it was the same last night as this morning, so if I ate it last night, then there's no reason why I wouldn't eat it today!

Sorry, no roast potatoes! We didn't have a roast dinner this weekend. No pasta either- but there is a portion of shepherd pie? Don't think it's like that cold, though......

I already had last night's garlic mushrooms at around midnight...ds was keeping me awake, I couldn't help it Blush

LeaveTheBastid · 18/02/2013 08:54

Envy jealous. I had leftover, cold from the fridge crispy chilli chicken and fried noodles for breakfast on Friday... That was amazing. Much better than my usual egg fecking white omelette or porridge.

beeny · 18/02/2013 08:56

My indian mum used to making amazing pilaus and lamb and chicken curries for dinner parties. We would always eat them the next day heated up with raita.

BitBewildered · 18/02/2013 08:56

Ooh yanbu! I love cold takeaway for breakfast and am very jealous. Envy

Jeezaloo · 18/02/2013 09:01

YANBU

Oh, and Ohhelp "leftover popadoms"?? I didn't know they existed. They never seem to last more than 5 minutes in my house, let alone the next day Grin

MsVestibule · 18/02/2013 09:09

YADNBU. I used to order more than I needed for my Friday Night Takeaway, just so I'd have enough for Saturday Morning Breakfast. But I would have to heat it up. A cold piece of curry meat snaffled from the fridge is OK, but not a whole meal.

MrsKoala · 18/02/2013 09:11

Oh I love cold shepherds pie. All the mash and mince is solid, it's a completely different taste and texture. Come to think of it there isn't any food I prefer hot, I only eat it hot because I'm too greedy to wait for it to cool down of societal norms, damn you the hegemony of hot food, you are oppressing me!

HolidayArmadillo · 18/02/2013 09:12

I had pizza this morning when I got in from work. Bloody lovely it was too.

WandaDoff · 18/02/2013 09:13

I haven't got any takeaway for breakfast Envy
