Bassy music playing nuisances. I mean neighbours.

Next door is playing music. It's not very loud. Loudness is not an issue. But it is so so bass-y that my ears are about to bleed. It's actually given me a headache.
And who the FUCK remixes Dido with a bass low enough to cause haemorrhage & then splices in some rap!?

No I can't go over. I'm in my PJs, in my bed and I'm a pussy.
That's not even an AIBU

AIBU to think Dido with bass is stupid?
AIBU to regret moving to OX2? I miss TR3 Sad

Any revenge tactics? I have a small baby to use to my advantage

People do listen to some shite! I have an annoying 50 something neighbour who listens to Radio 1 really loud outside in the summer... just grow up!!

Not sure about revenge - might it make things worse??? Maybe David Gray with eurobeat....

I feel your pain. My neighbour is a pt DJ so quite often I hear the bass, not very loud but just so I can hear it. Very annoying. I spoke to his wife once about it, she rolled her eyes and said 'he's got a sound-proof room but leaves the door open' Confused

TR3? As in the Cornish postcode where I grew up? Grin

I hear you though. "Bassy music from next door" is quite possibly the sound I hate the most in the universe. I spent so many years renting next to people who didn't understand you could listen to music without the bass turned right up, or so it felt.

My dad (a musician) once plugged in his electric bass into his massive gig-size amp and started playing a Chas and Dave soundtrack along to his neighbour's infernal racket after repeated polite requests over several weeks for them to turn it down. Believe it or not it worked, and it was never as loud again.
