And is not eating much either... hence my post. She's 9.
Since toddlerhood, my cousin's child, who I see about twice a week, has lived for the limelight. Meals were interrupted so she could change and have all the adults admire her in her princess costume, and so on.
The mother wants her to be a model. The child, now 9, is nothing special to look at, but she is very thin. Never eaten much, and is remarkably tiny compared to her peers. She also shows off still - constantly praising herself to others, constantly asking - demanding - praise from others. She is proud of her long legs and thus moves oddly, constantly spinning and kicking, gusset in your face non-stop. She wears 3yr old's clothes and prefers the Disney look, even at 9.
I'm worried. She also constantly talks about food and not eating it, or tries to shove food down others.
Do you think this is weird too? Other children in her peer group don't act like this. The relentless attention getting makes me uneasy. WWYD?
