the rule is they should stand "sensibly and calmly" with their parents before school starts and when they finish at the end of the day as well.
I find it completely bizarre!
Of course they don't - like all 3, 4, 5 and 6 year old they run about whilst us parents wait to see who will get a bollocking from the head teacher!
We are at a british school, oversea's.
The school says its for insurance reasons but i don't believe that as they run loads of outside clubs after school.
Are English schools the same in England I mean?

i live in England, hardly any of the children stand with their parents waiting to go in to school or come out they run around playing. The only thing school ask is that they dont play on equipment for insurance reasons.

Our go in and run round like nutters till the teachers come get them. As long as they stay off the climbing frames they dont get told to stop
