Shortage/lack of H fitting shoes/pumps/sandles

My daughter is now almost 8 years and is at the higher end of an H fitting often having to go up 1/2 a size. (she started off as a G/H fitting). she also has very short feet, nearly 8 years and only in a 12.5. she is now getting to an age where accepting what shoes are on offer is no longer acceptable!!!! It is so annoying that there are so little styles and options. Im wanting to get her some nice canvas shoes for playing out/riding her bike as she does not like trainers and i really do not want her to play out in school/best shoes, but guess what no H fittings in sight. PLEASE SHOE MANUFACTORERS PLEASE MAKE MORE H FITTING STYLES!!! Angry
How do we get a petition started!!! lol.
Rant over. Smile

Trouble is I guess they don't sell many H width shoes, let alone trainers/sandals that get less wear so average parent isn't going to pay £30-40 for.

Someone asked about H fitting wellies recently and I laughed to myself. Again, ass parents we need there's things but, it isn't a sound business choice to make them.

And I speak as a parent of wide footed kids who are now wide footed adults, and it's as hard now to buy shoes that fit and they like as it ever was!

Btw at your daughters afar both my girls wore boys shoes and trousers for school.

I agree, you are NIBU!
As the mum of two children with wide fitting feet I feel the same. I actually wrote to Start Rite once to complain why their black shoes all came in H fittings, but their red shoes didn't - it is wide-feet-ism that those with narrow feet are allowed red shoes, but those with wide feet have to stick to boring black!

My daughter also has got fed up of the limited choice for her width feet. In her case, she has a high in-step and we also often go up half a size. I remember spending an agonizing shoe shopping trip where after the FOURTH shop she eventually agreed on a pair of black patent leather shoes instead of the nice red/pink/purple ones only available in narrow fittings.

I have finally found a shoe shop that stocks Petasil which are good for wide feet but they aren't cheap!

I am sure there must be a market for it!

I had to wear boys shoes to school because my feet are so wide and DD1 has inherited it from me..shoe shopping for her is a delight end up having to order stuff in because they never have any in stock

E fitting ranges aren't great either (parent of narrow-footed DDs).
