To still serve the creme fresh even though I've just caught the cat licking it?

Feminine · 01/02/2013 16:01

NO! cats clean their arses with that same mouth!

wintertimeisfun · 01/02/2013 16:01

our cat licks food related items. try as we do i am sure she has a good lick at things we haven't noticed and thus eat away unknowing....her favourite is to lick our water. kind of cute. so far we all seem ok.........best not to think about it really. re your creme, i'd scrape the top off :-)

Olbasoil · 01/02/2013 16:01

No . Cats tongues have billions of germs on them and even I draw the line at that !

Feminine · 01/02/2013 16:02

and anyway ...you should be using sour cream. Go get some Grin

atthewelles · 01/02/2013 16:02

When I said 'Yes' I meant 'Yes, YABU' by the way.

atthewelles · 01/02/2013 16:03

How do you know he didn't have a mouse or rat between his teeth earlier today?

BunnyLebowski · 01/02/2013 16:04

I'm a complete minger with a cast iron stomach but even I couldn't do that.

Here's why

claraschu · 01/02/2013 16:06

You get toxoplasmosis from cat shit, not cat spit.
My cats lick me all the time, and it's lovely (I'm sure some of their germs get into my system).

catladycourtney1 · 01/02/2013 16:06

Most people are immune to toxoplasmosis - it's usually symptom-free, you can catch it from more or less anything (usually from playing in or around soil as a kid, from gardening or from fruit and veg that has had soil on it, or from having pets) and once you've had it, you don't get it again. Just scrape the top layer off. My cat shares my cereal with me in a morning Smile well, normally I save her a bit of milk at the end but if she gets the chance she'll have her head in the bowl.

Pagwatch · 01/02/2013 16:08

Oh no. That's just wrong.

HoneyDragon · 01/02/2013 16:10

I would. In fact what times dinner? I'll eat them Grin

atthewelles · 01/02/2013 16:10

I once ate ham that my cat had licked. I'm still here :)

Floggingmolly · 01/02/2013 16:26

If you served it to me I'd never forgive you.

KatyPeril · 01/02/2013 16:27
