To get a lift home by my friend and husband

And be ignored by my friend while she chatted to others and checked her Facebook?

Errr YABU?

YANBU?

I don't know how you could possibly be either? Grin

Did you chat to your friend and did she pointedly ignore you while chatting to the other people in the car?

If so, you might have done something to upset her without realising?

13Iggis · 26/01/2013 23:01

Not nearly enough details to decide who was being rude! (Maybe you were imposing? Maybe she was on mumsnet not fb, which is always understandable?)
And whose husband was it, yours or hers?

AgentZigzag · 26/01/2013 23:02

Were you sat in the back?

It can be difficult holding a conversation with someone over the noise of the engine.

What's she like with you normally?

mrsL1984 · 26/01/2013 23:02

She offered lift this morning due to snow! Was her husband!

shesariver · 26/01/2013 23:03

A few more details might be essential handy.

mrsL1984 · 26/01/2013 23:03

She was on Facebook as she showed her something on it! Her husband chatted but not her! Perhaps I have upset her! Yes I was in the back

OP posts:
AgentZigzag · 26/01/2013 23:03

I'm confused now!

What was her husband?

threesocksmorgan · 26/01/2013 23:04

don't get the problem

deleted203 · 26/01/2013 23:04

It is completely unreasonable to be on FB whilst giving someone a life home. I ban all mobile phones in my car. If I am giving you a lift then you have the courtesy to speak to me whilst we are driving - rather than texting your more interesting mates. (Aimed at teenage DCs mostly). Appreciate that presumably her DH was driving, but she's still damn rude to be on FB.

CloudsAndTrees · 26/01/2013 23:04

So she was chatting to her husband and she checked her phone while on a journey?

I'm struggling to see the problem here.

mrsL1984 · 26/01/2013 23:04

Normally we chat about everything and nothing! No issues in conversation! Just seemed she was preoccupied and it felt like I was invisible

OP posts:
PatsysPyjamas · 26/01/2013 23:04

Are you drunk?

WorraLiberty · 26/01/2013 23:05

When you say she chatted to others...do you mean on FB or were there other people in the car?

Where were you getting a lift home from?

AgentZigzag · 26/01/2013 23:05

'She was on Facebook as she showed her something on it!'

As she showed who something on it?

AgentZigzag · 26/01/2013 23:06

OP?

Was alcohol involved in wherever you were?

Hmmm?

mrsL1984 · 26/01/2013 23:06

Her husband was driver! He picked us up she dropped me at home! I understand her talking to her husband but not once she aimed conversation at me! She was in Facebook! Her husband chatted away quite the thing

OP posts:
MissyMooandherBeaverofSteel · 26/01/2013 23:06

If you had been chatting all evening maybe she just ran out of things to say?

mrsL1984 · 26/01/2013 23:06

No no booze

OP posts:
mrsL1984 · 26/01/2013 23:07

Coming home from work! She was looking at a fb page of a hotel where they want to stay

OP posts:
HollyBerryBush · 26/01/2013 23:07

Shes given you a lift, your complaining she isnt entertaining you through the journey. Get a bus next time.

NoelHeadbands · 26/01/2013 23:08

Why would that make you unreasonable?

Presumably you mean was SHE unreasonable?

tethersend · 26/01/2013 23:08

Was Sharon there?

Was anybody TRexing?

mrsL1984 · 26/01/2013 23:09

I have my own car but due to bad snow she offered to collect me! We often car share to save coatings etc which isn't issue! I did volunteer the bus but she didn't feel it was appropriate for me to get the bus

OP posts:
MissyMooandherBeaverofSteel · 26/01/2013 23:09

Her husband picked you up and ran you home and you are upset because, despite this kind deed, she wasn't chatty enough? If thats right then yabvu.

toddlerama · 26/01/2013 23:10

Just thank her for the lift and stop being so demanding.
