To think that women should spend less time slagging each other off?

Seriously, we have really interesting debates on misogyny and then threads literally just slagging off famous women and poking fun at them. I really do wonder who we are fighting sometimes.

YANBU - totally agree especially when comments are made regarding looks.

YANBU.

YABU

Being a woman doesn't (and shouldn't) exempt you from criticism.

Softlysoftly · 26/01/2013 13:01

YABU I slag men off in exactly the same way.

Equality, it's all about the equal and total right to be a wanker regardless of sex, age, colour, ability and religion.

I quite agree girl, unusual name were your parents not very imaginative. I think that on mum's net we should discuss nice things such as cake, tea. birds and gardening. I have in fact done just that on another thread and its all going swimmingly.

TroublesomeEx · 26/01/2013 13:19

Not being exempt from criticism and just being slagged off aren't the same though, are they?

You can be against misogyny and still slag a woman off for behaving like an arse.

As long as you are not criticising the person actions specifically because she is a woman and would feel the same way if it were a man.

I normally find that to be the case here on MN (as in we hate everyone equally :o).
