Disrespectful.
Making a sandwich and leaving crumbs and knives on worktop I had wiped minutes or leaving empty can and canopener on side or empty wrappers. Don't want to keep nagging but it should not be up to me to do it.I am a sahm so bulk of housework fair enough but not this. Aibu.

Does the mess get cleared once the sandwich has been eaten?

SPsFanjoIsAsComfyAsAOnesie · 24/01/2013 23:11

Leaving toast crumbs in butter should be punishable by death

HoHoHoNoYouDont · 24/01/2013 23:12

Agree SP. That's manky.

Joiningthegang · 24/01/2013 23:12

Annoying yep, thoughtless, yep , disrespectful?????

Did he eat cakes which were less than perfect and destined for the bin too?

NannyPlumIsMyMum · 24/01/2013 23:12

No YANBU.

I too get vv annoyed.

timidviper · 24/01/2013 23:14

If I had a pound for every time I wail "Noooooo! Not on the granite!" I'd be rich.

manicbmc · 24/01/2013 23:15

Has my daughter come to your house? She is incapable of using a bin.

city1984 · 24/01/2013 23:15

Not unless I do it!

It is disrespectful. It says, my time and energy is more important than yours. I still tell people about the ex-H of someone I knew who used to do this while I was providing FREE childcare for his DC. Walk in, destroy kitchen, walk out. Fucking lazy, horrible, nasty behaviour.

MidnightMasquerader · 25/01/2013 02:33

YANBU. Sends me apoplectic. Irrationally OTT, I know, but there you go.

Greenkit · 25/01/2013 02:48

OMG this drives me mad....

Crumbs left, butter left out and no-one, NO-ONE can put plates etc IN the dishwasher, no it gets put NEXT to the dishwasher Angry

ripsishere · 25/01/2013 02:53

or rubbish left on top of the bin. Is it really that difficult to put your foot on the pedal?

Monty27 · 25/01/2013 03:07

My ex exdh left crumbs in the butter all the time (this was miner compare to other sins). I stuffed my engagement ring in the butter, walked in the pub (yes, the pub, after cooking and all that for him again) and shoved tub in front of him and walked off.

It was a long time ago :)

Greenkit · 25/01/2013 03:10

My DS also has a habit of peeing on the toilet seat because he is too lazy to lift the fecking lid. I only find out when I sit on the seat and get a wet arse bum Blush

Monty27 · 25/01/2013 03:12

Pfffft green

I am a bit Blush at my behavior with the butter (OK it was utterly butterly or something).

We're still friends Grin

Greenkit · 25/01/2013 03:15

I think it was great Monty wish I had thought of that

YorkshireDeb · 25/01/2013 04:05

Ha ha joiningthegang! X

Yfronts · 25/01/2013 06:27

yes it's a pain but the answer is to say 'I need you to clean the crumbs. I feel frustrated as I'd only just wiped the surface' instead of 'you are lazy and you are disrespectful and so clean the crumbs'

ChristmasJubilee · 25/01/2013 06:27

My teenagers do this. I call them back to rectify it, you should do likewise.

Toadinthehole · 25/01/2013 06:44

Oh crikey, YANBU. My DW is a South African and she does this all the time. So do her family. I believe they do this because in South Africa one can hire a cleaning fairy for less then 10 pounds a day.

The problem for us (as I tell her) is we don't live in South Africa.

phantomhairpuller · 25/01/2013 06:46

Are you talking about my DH Wink
