For me it would probably be:

Not reading the OP properly and going off on a tangent
Pulling a thread totally OT in order to have a two way jokey conversation with someone else that goes on for pages and pages
Looking up someone's posting history and saying 'well on 5th April 2006 you said this and now you're saying that.

OP posts:
Piemother · 24/01/2013 12:10

Insisting in being offended and getting the thread pulled. There was a period of a certain poster getting all threads about a certain subject pulled due to personal experience of it. I'm pretty sensitive but this annoyed the hell out of me.

LadyBeagleEyes · 24/01/2013 12:11

I have never seen a serious thread being taken over by people saying Hi to each other or in jokes.
Have you any examples?

Nancy66 · 24/01/2013 12:12

oi - I went back to the thread and gave further info!

GetOrf · 24/01/2013 12:13

Yes at the boycotts for no reason.

I think people overestimate the power of mumsnet sometimes. Grin

And the disingenuousousness. There was someone a while back deliberately making spelling mistakes and other typos because she knew it was winding people up. I would bet 20p that she could spell perfectly well and was on the wind up (and it worked).

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 12:13

I hate piling in threads.

IMO there's a big difference between an OP that pretty much everyone disagrees with and people just joining in for the hell of it.

I am still RILED that MNHQ deleted a post of mine for calling some disingenuous.

Startail · 24/01/2013 12:14

Oh yes please put DCs ages or school year.

Yes I know this is harder for non English posters, but for preteens especially it is very useful.

Most schools allow freedom to walk home etc. to 10 yo Y6, but not necessarily a 10 yo Y5.

Eleven year olds who are at secondary are different to those still at primary.

Oh and the SN police who say I have to call my dyslexic DD1, DD1 who has dyslexia. If I've mentioned it it's because I'm discussing the quirks and difficulties this gives her and thus it isn't just an after thought.

Nancy66 · 24/01/2013 12:15

I hate:

Wow, just wow.

End of

and people who give stage directions:

< comes in, plumps the cushions, blows tea>

TheAccidentalExhibitionist · 24/01/2013 12:15

When the poster calls us 'Ladies'
For a start I'm a woman, not a lady and there are men that post on here too.
Grr

BupcakesAndCunting · 24/01/2013 12:16

SIOB you are NEVER allowed to say disingenuous GetOrf, you should know this as MN Royalty.

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 12:17

That last one was a bit serious Blush

I love boycott requests, I like the indignant rage. I also love it when they get loads of really helpful replies but ignore them because ranting is much more fun than actually solving the problem!

WorraLiberty · 24/01/2013 12:17

"To the woman in the park walking her dog this morning...thank you for picking my child's scarf up and handing it to me".

Yes because she would have rushed home and made a MN account in the fervent hope that someone would thank her on one of the 10000s of public internet forums.

Why didn't you just thank her there and then?

sunflowersfollowthesun · 24/01/2013 12:18

I like bolded names.
Can't abide po-faced remarks on an obviously light hearted thread.
Scoop them up and Pop it in, irritate the bejesus me, especially in the same sentence.

and I really hate but that's just me I see fluttering eyelashes and hairflicking.

FunnysInLaJardin · 24/01/2013 12:20

the prefix (lighthearted) is one of my most hated things on all of the tinternet. I have started threads on it and everything. So I agree with @ GetOrf

Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 12:20

Yep Randall. Piling in is shite.
You can tell because people piling in constantly up the nastiness.

If loads just post in accord they might all say 'yabu and not nice'
When the thick nasty gits pile in they get more insulting with every post.
It's really grim.

TuftyFinch · 24/01/2013 12:21

TheAccident yes, it's like being in a black and White film laadies

Pagwatch · 24/01/2013 12:22

I said this on another thread but I hate and love grudgy/flounce/you are all vipers threads in exactly equal measure.

TuftyFinch · 24/01/2013 12:23

Pag exactly equal? Completely 50/50? Not 48/52? that makes you very fair indeed.

TheVermiciousKnid · 24/01/2013 12:23

Many things annoy me. Many, many things. But then I'm very grumpy today because I'm tired and hounded by period pain.

What annoys me most though are posters who post posts. Stop posting. I have work to do. How can I get any work done if you lot keep posting?!

[very grumpy]

WorraLiberty · 24/01/2013 12:24

"Namechanged but...mooncup/swimming pool/Bulgarian midget chicken - just so you know I'm a regular".

Nope, not a fucking clue Confused

GetOrf · 24/01/2013 12:24

I HATE HATE being called ladies. Fuck off.

HyvaPaiva · 24/01/2013 12:24

Posters who write 'That made me cry'/'I'm in tears at this'/'crying now'. Literally crying actual real tears right now? Feeling emotional, sure. Eyes filling, perhaps. If it's something tragic, more likely. But weeping at things that are minor/on the internet/don't affect you? No you aren't. Stop it.
