to think that a huge, vast, amazingly well known site like Mumsnet should do something about its Server problems?

None of the other sites I use have anything like the number of issues that Mumsnet does.

Its really pretty poor and has been going on for months, if not years!

ChaosTrulyReigns · 20/01/2013 22:10

MsVestibule · 20/01/2013 22:12

Chaos, it's probably your multiple postings that cause the bloody problems Grin.

countrykitten · 20/01/2013 22:14

Is rubbish right now.

cumfy · 20/01/2013 22:17

The thing is it was OK til about a month ago.

Someone has changed something.Grin

McNewPants2013 · 20/01/2013 22:17

I owe my router an apology, I kind of thought my Internet was playing up again

StuntGirl · 20/01/2013 22:17

Agreed.

maras2 · 20/01/2013 22:20

Damn.I've been blaming DH for hogging all the broadband.

qualitytoffee · 20/01/2013 22:23

It has taken be 4 mins to log in, and 5 mins to post a message, yet other sites i can get on straight away!
I thought it was my (10) year old computer, but its good to know other posters have problems too...(well not good IYSWM) you get the jist.
And yes, i do need to get a life...Grin

NorksAreMessy · 20/01/2013 22:40

Nope. If it didnt go tits up so often, I would never get ANYTHING else done.:)
Click on those links, my friends, and click them HARD

HollyBerryBush · 20/01/2013 22:42

There was me thinking it was the snow - and its been like it for the past two nights.

FWIW , as a free site, I doubt MN really cares much, they get their revenue from advertising

ChippingInNeedsSleepAndCoffee · 20/01/2013 22:45

It has been awful... but it feels incredibly rude to complain about something I use free

MrsKeithRichards · 20/01/2013 22:47

manticlimactic · 20/01/2013 22:47

Oooh it's going quicker now.

Just as I'm going to bed Hmm

manticlimactic · 20/01/2013 22:48

Actually, everyone's fed up and gone to bed haven't they? That'll be why it's faster

ChaosTrulyReigns · 20/01/2013 22:49
Wink
LineRunner · 20/01/2013 22:49

It's a shame because it's such a good site.

It's like the British Museum being brought to its knees by a bit of excess dust.

qualitytoffee · 20/01/2013 22:49

Snowlivia, can you get your IT tech to sort it ouutt!
Or are you all in the pub?..again..Grin

magimedi88 · 20/01/2013 22:50

I have not been on here for long but I am amazed at how often the site has 'isshues' & that I can't modify my post &that I can't see a list of members or who is on line..............

It is a somewhat archaic site............

But I still berluddy love it.

SirBoobAlot · 20/01/2013 22:51

I owe my internet an apology.

amillionyears · 20/01/2013 23:34

Can I ask,MNHQ,or anyone else, does it make a difference the sheer number of posters?
It has seemed to be at its worst around 9pm, when I assume MN has the largest traffic?
And the site seems to be getting bigger and bigger.

qualitytoffee · 20/01/2013 23:39

Just cos i said you were all down the pub is no reason to delete my post Olivia xx
