OK so my friend is just lovely, she really is. This morning a few of us met up (day off) and got chatting about a lunch out next weekend and someone asked what everyone was wearing etc. just general chit chat.

Friend 1 - black trousers, heels and a top I suppose (is uber trendy so will look amazing whatever)

Me - dunno. Whatever I can find.

Friend 2 - pistols, sevens and something vintage.

Now, she took the subsequent piss taking in good stead, she's a great lass but is this the way everyone talks these days? Smile

Sevens?

Otheregos · 16/01/2013 13:33

I don't understand

AlmostAHipster · 16/01/2013 13:34

Is she a cowboy?

ginmakesitallok · 16/01/2013 13:35
Confused
diddl · 16/01/2013 13:36

So, what will friend 2 be wearing??

Diddydollydo · 16/01/2013 13:36

That's kind of my point - the sevens are the brand of jeans and the pistols are boots. But I did have to get her to explain that to me. Smile

ginmakesitallok · 16/01/2013 13:36

Wait, are sevens jeans?

HyvaPaiva · 16/01/2013 13:37

Acne Pistol boots and 7 for all Mankind jeans?

HyvaPaiva · 16/01/2013 13:37

Cross-post! I thought I was being-uber trendy by knowing that Sad Grin

Diddydollydo · 16/01/2013 13:39

Hurrah! You are clearly much more up to date than me!

Well I don´t know the girl, but she sounds quite funny to me tbh.

Either that or she´s trying to prove that she´s as übertrendy (snort) as friend 1?

Diddydollydo · 16/01/2013 13:45

She is great fun diddl and she's just quite rightly annihalated me for using the term 'uber trendy' on mumsnet.

I would understand what she meant, but only because I lurk on the S&B boards.

diddl · 16/01/2013 13:52

Well Sevens -or should that be 7s??-& Pistols mean nothing to me-but people used to say Levis/501s & still say Converse, Doc Martens, don´t they?

So just the names have changed!!

givemeaclue · 16/01/2013 13:57

Jeans to a wedding?!?!?!?!?

Diddydollydo · 16/01/2013 14:44

No wedding involved, just a lunch!
