Everytime it gets cold, the locks freeze, press the button to unlock, they lock again. i have to time it perfectly to get the passenger door open, then climb over the passenger seat, get the handbrake up me arse, to get to the drivers seat, really bloody annoying when doing the school run.

My DH is currently climbing not his car through the boot because of this problem! Crap isn't it?

new batteries in the fob?????

I can only sympathize. Mum gave us her newer car as a swap for our older one, then part-exed ours for a new car. And forgot to mention that the back doors on her newer car freeze shut in cold weather. It was great fun trying to haul a stropping rigid toddler between the front seats of the car this morning because both rear doors were frozen shut.

I tried putting DS's seat in the front, as the front doors do open, but he opened the electric window and took the car out of gear at 70 mph on a dual carriageway, so he's definitely in the back for the foreseeable future. I just have to work out how to get him there.

Yep, cold drains batteries!
