To think MIL putting her nose in DS mouth is totally out of order?

She first did it when DS was 3 weeks old. When I mentioned it to DH he said he saw her do it but she probably wouldn't do it again which she didn't until this afternoon twice!! DS is 6 months but no matter how old he is I don't her or anyone's nose in his mouth AIBU?

How horrible.

Staphylococcus anyone?

MurderOfGoths · 13/01/2013 23:14

DS always liked trying to bite/suck noses, whenever you went in for a kiss or a cuddle he'd try it. I don't really get the big deal.

HDee what does age have to do with it? Would young boogers make it better!? Hmm

I don´t think anyone is saying that a baby sucking/chewing a nose-of their own volition is weird, are they?

Just that the deliberately putting of a nose in a baby´s mouth is weird?

londonkiwi · 18/01/2013 09:00

I don't think it's as weird or gross as some people are making out.

I remember my 6 mth old niece used to suck my nose if my face was anywhere near hers. It was funny so I started putting my nose close to hers as 'bait' as it was funny for all concerned. And I'm not weird (honest!)

I don't think it's a big deal TBH.

ugh

YANBU

It's one thing for a baby to lunge. completely different to actively seek to insert nose into baby's mouth. Vile.

Flobbadobs · 18/01/2013 11:47

Just wait until he bites her nose. She won't do it again!
YANBU, it's gross.

Fakebook · 18/01/2013 11:54

Ugh. That's gross. There could be crusty snot left on there from an earlier nose wipe. Why on earth would she do that?

FloatyFlo · 20/01/2013 09:56

I think its a bit weird to offer your nose up like that. All babies will have a lunge for them when having a kiss and cuddle. But to go sticking it in...how peculiar!
