What's with dude, dude?

I've noticed it a bit. I have disturbing mental images of Bill and Ted posting when I see it. It's most unmumsnettish! What gives dudes?

I call ds Dude. It annoys dp so I do it more

I don't use it on MN (except on the TSC campaign thread) but I do call the DC 'dude'.

It amuses me.

Dude is hilariously retro. It should be used more, not less.
