(Read a comment on my previous thread and it got me thinking)

I always lock the bathroom door, but I think that's just a habit because I lock it even when there's no one else in the house.

I would possibly wee in front of oh but never have done.

As for anything else - hell no.

He's pissed with me in the same room countless times but I draw the line at him having a shit whilst I'm brushing my teeth, or in the bath etc.

In a way I think it can almost kiss the romance.

No never some things are bloody sacred and weeing and pooing is 1 of them why would I want him in the loo with me , and me him, although my dh has a disgusting habit of leaving the bathroom door open if he is peeing, It is vile and I tell him, even my children once they got to a 'safe age' I wouldn't let them in ,

No, except dh had to help me to the loo and back during a quite long hospital stay when I was very ill. He got me and my wheelie thing with all the drips on, and carried my catheter bag, sat me onto loo safely, waited outside, then got me off loo and back to bed. Luckily I was in a side room with an en suite because I was so poorly. He slept in a chair in the room for a week too, bless him.
Times like that, when you are at your most vulnerable is when you find out how much your partner loves you.

Wee - yes. Poo - no. As they say in SATC, "an open-door dump is worth dumping someone over" Grin
My ex used to announce he was off for a poo by saying "I'm going to feed the toilet"

Haha we do both! We used to just wee, but on our first holiday abroad my tummy suffered, hotel room was tiny and there was no way of hiding it! Since then I don't care, he's seen everything - pooing, weeing, taking tampons out. And I think we are stronger for it! However I hate being around when he's pooing lol, go figure!

Wee - yes.
Poo - no!

When dp comes in from work he says "hello everybody, just got to go for a poo!" And disappears upstairs. Why does he still need to say it when we know it anyway?!

No, never have done (nearly 20 yrs) never will.

he (on the other hand) would do the lot in front of me....if I let him!

no. not even a wee. except one or two occasions when I was in labour (needed help sitting/standing!), that was the only time in seven years and certainly was exceptional circumstances!

BertieBotts · 11/01/2013 10:40

Yep, I'm classy me Grin

I'd rather not poo but I have on occasion when I thought it was just a wee and then started to poo as well Blush I'm always apologetic! I run a mile if DP is pooing, XP used to shit when I was brushing my teeth -uuuuuuurgh. His "poo face" still haunts me :(

Reason for thinking wees are okay is we only have one bathroom and sometimes needs must.

I try not to, but both him and the kids follow me in....almost every time.

bedmonster · 11/01/2013 11:12

Wee yes, NEVER a poo. Because a wee doesn't stink of, well, shit. And being honest, why would you really want to smell another grown humans shit? It's pretty unpleasant.
DP has a shower in the morning and I go in for a wee, and if im having a bath he comes in for a wee.
I don't even push the door closed when im having a wee, but for a poo I at least shove it so it's nearly closed!

Poo face Bertie, ROFL!!!

DH & I do pee in front of each other but I draw the line at pooing. I couldn't breath anywhere near DH having a shit, it's truly vile. I can't understand why he stinks so much more than I do when we eat the same food? And is greater quantity too. (Expect that is a clue, he is not fully digesting).

No and I was a bit upset that after my DD the midwife put me, hubby and newborn into a big bathroom and I had to wee into a jug in front of my husband! It was grim.

MrsKeithRichards · 11/01/2013 11:26

That reminds me Pam he put a pessary in for me last year, he knows down there better than I do!

I can't beleive it's only OHs that announce their poo intentions! I always inform my DP and I fully intend to use 'feed the toilet' (thanks Fruitowl) as it's even better than 'dropping the kids off at the pool'.

After pregnancy, labour and childbirth, there isn't much mystery left in our relationship but DP still fancies the pants off me and it certainly hasn't been the kiss of death for romance. Saying that, on our first date I was nervous and got so drunk I was sick in front of him and farted at the same time! I was mortified and avoided him for weeks. When I saw him next he looked at me and I knew he still fancied me. I thought, 'this one's a keeper.'

No some things should be kept private

Report
MrsBungleBear · 11/01/2013 11:30

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. We pee infront of each other. Don't tend to poo but wouldn't bother me.

No air of mystery between me and Dh!

We wee in front of each other - DH brought me my morning coffee into the bathroom and gave me a little kiss as I was having my morning wee this morning. Poo, no.

Sorry meant to say I will go in front of mum and sisters too if they want to come in the bathroom for anything

Report
KitCat26 · 11/01/2013 11:43

Yep, once and only once in exceptional circumstances.

The day after I had DD1, I was still in hospital, in a proper state and needed his help to walk and have a bath (midwives disappeared), and then I needed the toilet (in same room), bleeding, stitched and scared I might split into two again .

Report
diddl · 11/01/2013 12:09

Yep, mum & sister here too.

When I visit my sister she´ll sometimes go for a shower whilst I´m there & I go in for a chat!
