(Read a comment on my previous thread and it got me thinking)

I always lock the bathroom door, but I think that's just a habit because I lock it even when there's no one else in the house.

I would possibly wee in front of oh but never have done.

As for anything else - hell no.

He's pissed with me in the same room countless times but I draw the line at him having a shit whilst I'm brushing my teeth, or in the bath etc.

In a way I think it can almost kiss the romance.

Pombears, mine do that even though we have 3 loos it has to be the one I am in.
I like an air of mystery as well:) dh doesn't see a problem and comes into the bathroom where I am doing my face and plonks down to chat at the same time. Cue me - there are other loos!!!

I did it all when I was prgnt though. Stopped after. I couldn't get my own pants on as I was too big to bend, so I had to have intimate help:)

Pee all the time, never poo. We don't even have a lock on the bathroom door, it's hardly ever shut properly!

diddl · 11/01/2013 08:32

Yes.

We don´t make a habit of it & we don´t watch each other wipe our arses, but if one is in the shower, at the sink, wanders in for a chat, we don´t care.

He´s seen me give birth-& I pooed then!

When the children were little & he would get to the loo when arriving home from work, they´d both run up with him & sit on his knee telling him about their day.

Now the cat sits on his knee when he poos.Grin

Wee -yes , but I always have my legs tightly together and I have to have my legs tightly together whilst *ahem wiping.

anything else....no!

No never-either of us.I don't lock the door if I am having a wee but I close it. Farting is fine IMHO as long as it is just us there neither of us minds at all.

We wee in front of each other. DP will happily have a poo with the bathroom door wide open so I'm treated to the sight of him on the throne playing chess on his iPad.

After the first few instances of this I cracked and pleaded of him 'Why? Why are you subjecting me to this? Do you hate me? Do mine eyes deserve it?!'

And he looked really hurt and said 'No, I just feel really comfortable around you'.

So now I let him get on with it. I don't really mind tbh. We're both quite down to earth about bodily functions and stuff. No prudery here. It's impossible. Especially when DSD loves to announce when she's done a fart or a poo.

Sigh.

"no some things just are not for sharing."

I agree. Have never done so, never will.

Twattybollocks · 11/01/2013 09:32

Yes I do. I've given birth in front of him, having a pee is small fry really. I don't poo in front of him if I can possibly avoid it, as no one likes to smell someone else's shit, but if he was in the shower and I was desperate, I might!

No. Never ever ever. Some things are just private. I have a hard enough time convincing DS that he doesn't need to flush the loo four times while on sat on it. Husband thinks it weird to even use the loo in front of DS (who is one), so not a chance in hell of us doing toilet things in front of each other.

No. Though very early on in our relationship I had terrible food poisoning stuff coming out of me in all directions while I was fainting because of dehydration. He looked after me the whole night and cleaned up everything and didn't say a word about it. I knew then that he was a keeper.

Never. DH has wee'd whilst I was showering though. Some things must be kept private.

Both my children however, have seen me poo and wee from the day they were born.

Yep, both as does he. After 15 years and 3 labours I have nothing to hide!
DH takes his laptop to the loo if he thinks he's going to be there a while, we actually chose our new tent while he was on the loo! (And yes, he cleans the keyboard with antibac wipes regularly).

MrsMelons · 11/01/2013 09:44

NO NO NO

I like to have a few minutes privacy now and then and like the thought of mine and DHs intimacy not being weeing/pooing in front of each other. I wee in front of my friends and when I lived with lots of girls we would wee when each other were in the shower etc but not with partners.

I lock the door so the DCs can't disturb me!

Yes, we're not bothered by each other's bodily functions. They're only natural, and our house is so tiny it's hard not to be aware of what the other is doing, even if we close the door.
