To call this man a wanker

While out with my DD in her pushchair this morning this idiot had parked his van all the way across the pavement, despite it being a wide road and plenty of room for parking on it. As I went past on the road he was stood in the garden of this house so i shouted nice blocking of the pavement you wanker as I walked past. Didn't bother to wait for any reply was in such a foul mood at the time I might have said much worse. I wish they made pushchairs with spikes that came out of the wheels to scratch these stupid people's vehicles on the way past (not that I ever actually would).

I'm acting normally now. One person has said I sound like a thicko and one like a commoner, but it really doesn't bother me, everyone is entitled to their opinion. The pram rage has abated. For now anyway!

I would have 'discussed ' it with him first ' oh mate can you move your van ? ' Reply ' No' Then called him a Wanker !

bootsycollins · 12/01/2013 12:25

Ok Einstein move yer van!

bootsycollins · 12/01/2013 12:25

*OI

strumpetpumpkin · 12/01/2013 12:27

good for you!

inconsiderate parkers ARE wankers. He needed to know

PessaryPam · 12/01/2013 12:31

OP you are not BU, the guy was a wanker. I used to suffer this in Sarf Lundun pushing the twins around. Personally i would have called him an ignorant fucking wanker, you were too nice Grin

Suzietastic · 12/01/2013 12:32

I think it was entirely appropriate use of the word 'wanker'. Bravo.

PessaryPam · 12/01/2013 12:36

Fakebook calling you a thicko is a sign that all is well and you aren't!

Fakebook · 12/01/2013 12:41

Eh? I bet the man didn't even know what the hell she was on about calling him a wanker. I always find a firm, polite conversation accompanied by a stern teacher like stare does the job if you want to make someone cringe with embarrassment for doing something wrong.

TheFallenNinja · 12/01/2013 13:08

Sterling example. You must be proud.

MrsKeithRichards · 12/01/2013 13:39

Oh Fakebook you are a hoot!

PickledInAPearTree · 12/01/2013 14:34

Grin Firm teacher like stare!

Van man, you have been a NAUGHTY BOY if I see this again I'm
Warning you sonny. It will be DETENTION FOR YOU.

Sallyingforth · 12/01/2013 14:44

In your position, if my DD was old enough to toddle a few yards I would have folded the pushchair until it was not quite narrow enough to get past the van on the footpath, and forced it by the van making sure it left a nice gouge down the side.

BarredfromhavingStella · 12/01/2013 15:06

Of course he knew why she was calling him a wanker Fakebook read the OP-'nice blocking of the pavement wanker' How much clearer could she make it?

YWNBU, as previously stated he was parked like a wanker & deserved to be told so.

DamnBamboo · 12/01/2013 15:50

YWBU and rude.

Boomerwang · 12/01/2013 20:03

...so there!

pigletmania · 12/01/2013 20:14

Yabu fr being rude, yes that is my bugbear. I hav been known for squeezing my buggy (if possible) through th gap and scratching the persons car in th provess. Their aut they should not be parked illegally

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 12/01/2013 20:34

@ Boomerwang

Fakebook · 12/01/2013 23:40

barred No it wasn't very clear actually. The lack of punctuation and quotation marks in the OP made it quite hard to read. But I suppose that's what you'd expect from a thi..coorrrrr time for bed.

Loveweekends10 · 13/01/2013 05:01

At least it was a one off. One off my neighbours parks his car right across the pavement facing forwards into his drive every single day! He doesn't give a shit if you have to take your children out into the road to get by!

MissBlennerhassett · 13/01/2013 05:43

YANBU.

pigletmania · 13/01/2013 08:36

Love weekend I would slap a note onto his car if not call the police for parking illegally

Boomerwang · 13/01/2013 08:37

Get yourself together, Fakebook. You know it's cheap behaviour to look down on someone because their written communication is poor.

BiscuitMillionaire · 13/01/2013 08:42

YABU. You should have shouted 'willy willy willy' with accompanying hand gesture, as any MNetter knows.

Fakebook · 13/01/2013 08:50

Yeah. I'm cheap. I love a good bargain.
