To call this man a wanker

Geekster · 10/01/2013 18:30

While out with my DD in her pushchair this morning this idiot had parked his van all the way across the pavement, despite it being a wide road and plenty of room for parking on it. As I went past on the road he was stood in the garden of this house so i shouted nice blocking of the pavement you wanker as I walked past. Didn't bother to wait for any reply was in such a foul mood at the time I might have said much worse. I wish they made pushchairs with spikes that came out of the wheels to scratch these stupid people's vehicles on the way past (not that I ever actually would).

You are right I wouldn't like my DD saying it, he wasn't loading anything. Pram rage is right, I don't usually swear either I really don't know what came over me.

And if you had said excuse me sir would you mind moving your awfully parked over sized van he wouldn't have realised how much it pisses us off, I'm sure being called a wanker pissed him off so hopefully will stick in his head to not do it again :)

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 10/01/2013 18:50

Stop being so bloody reasonable Geekster

tch.

Wink
StinkyWicket · 10/01/2013 18:50

And LOL at all those pious types that have never said a bad word in front of the children when annoyed!

PickledInAPearTree · 10/01/2013 18:52

Did you mean to park like a caaaaant? Grin

I got pram rage once. It was hilarious!

I think I said swears too.

DharmaBums · 10/01/2013 18:52

Gosh some people on here are soooo judgemental

I hate that too and would've probably done the same (not proud of swear words either tho!) It always make me think how wheelchair bound pedestrians manage when we struggle with prams?
My other bug bear is cars/vans/buses parking across traffic light crossing when green light is on and only opportunity for us to cross safely with pram...grrr! Maybe we're just angry [big grin]

Locketjuice · 10/01/2013 18:52

Someone else to admit it stinkywicket thank god not just me :)

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 10/01/2013 18:52

Stinky I was thinking it was just me and OP who have sworn in front of their DC.

Enjoy your marginally slight unreasonability in the face of his huge unreasonability. The sort of twat who parks all over the pavement is generally the sort of twat who only understands words like wanker. Anyway, it was quite probaby true, and veracity is a defence to slander.

Too many women are brought up to be too meek and mild in the face of male arrogant twattery, sometimes its refreshing to see someone stand up to a wanker!

(I suspect the OP was probably picking up on some visual or other clues that the OP was taking the P generally).

StinkyWicket · 10/01/2013 18:54

Yep, I agree Gumby.

Sometimes though, people piss you off and bad moods make you say rude things.

There are many, many worse things she could have said, he was being a wanker and should suck up the insult imo. Had he been right next to her I don't think an insult would have sprung to mind, but if a man in a garden storms over and clocks her one because of an insult I don't think anything will stop him tbh.

PickledInAPearTree · 10/01/2013 18:54

Pram raaaaaage is a proper phenomenon.

There must be a few more people who've got it.

Tailtwister · 10/01/2013 18:55

It is irritating, but not really language you want your DD to hear unless you're happy for her to use it. It think you were aggressive and rude tbh.

StinkyWicket · 10/01/2013 18:55

LessMissAbs I'm glad you can write more coherently than me this afternoon.

I'm at work as well, not even pissed!

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 10/01/2013 18:57

Somebody needs to admit to Pram Rage in order to calm Pickled down.

Grin

I haven't. My mum however, nightmare! She is the only person to deserve the space in which she walks/the space she is getting to. If somebody walks in front of the pram (you know, ignorant types) then she stops dead and stares at them and has been known to comment loudly about 'ignorant arses' Grin

Am a bit worried about letting her lose with Boy when the time comes Confused

I have tried to curtail her potential for pram rage by buying a pram she thought was ridiculous (ie, it's a 3 wheeler and not a coach-built Silver Cross Grin)

PickledInAPearTree · 10/01/2013 18:59

Well we have the chance to get it soon Brian.

I'm getting a double buggy too. Ill just ram my way through!

Greensleeves · 10/01/2013 19:00

YANBU, what a........ cluntch Grin

bootsycollins · 10/01/2013 19:02

Geekster I salute you!

PickledInAPearTree · 10/01/2013 19:02

Trying out your new word green!

Wink That was supposed to be a friendly face I have these new scarey faces!

BrianCoxandTheTempleofDOOM · 10/01/2013 19:02

what's a cluntch?

Shock

I need to make sure it is suitably insulting before adding it to my repertoire!

Jengnr · 10/01/2013 19:03

Not unreasonable in the slightest. It would only be unreasonable if he wasn't a wanker - and only a wanker would park like that.

Well done!

McNewPants2013 · 10/01/2013 19:03

I would have rang 101 and reported his registration plate to the police. This is 1 thing that would have me is a very bad mood.

Ds lacks road sense at the best of times.

Nancy66 · 10/01/2013 19:05

You could have gone all Kathy Bates in Misery on him:

'You cockle-doo-dee'

or

'you dirty birdie'

sounded far more sinister (when she said it ) than any of the four letter words.

complexnumber · 10/01/2013 19:06

WhiteVanMan: "Someone called me a wanker this afternoon"

MrsWhiteVanMrs: "I called you that this morning, now get back and show me what your tongue is really for"

complexnumber · 10/01/2013 19:07

Sorry, very crude!
