To not want to go to the park

...because it's bloody freezibg!?
The dc's (3 and 1) are tearing up the house. But it's sooooooooo cold, we went out this morning and ds1 refused to wear his hat and gloves, we were all freezing when we got home Sad.

So, aibu to let them run riot, and just deal with the aftermath when DH gets home? I'm pretty sure if i suggested going out now ds1 would flatly refuse anyway!

I'd take my chances at home. Nothing worse than being in the park when its cold. Time literally stands still!

Would they watch a DVD or maybe water play in the bath? On days I can't face the playground I run a bath, get some shaving foam and a pastry brush and let DS "paint" the bath.

YANBU, I'm having the same thoughts. Am just about staying sane thank you Peppa

Go, even if it is for half an hour and the walk there will warm you up and tire them out.

It's not even that cold really imo - 3 degrees here which is nippy but not enough to keep me in with kids that are tearing up the house.

We used to go out every single morning come rain, shine or snow when ds was small, I cannot think of one time ever when the weather stopped us

I get a bit sneery at people who complain about the weather, can you tell?Wink

Dd (2.3) keeps saying 'swing and slide, swing and slide'. I opted for a quick walk around the block on her bike and got her slide out in the lounge. We did playgroup this morning so im happy with that. It is way too cold to be standing in the park!

If I just had one dc then I'd probably go. I did when ds1 was a baby, whatever the weather. But I can't face getting all three of us wrapped up, out ( that takes bloody ages!) to then get there as its going dark, and then stand in the cold when trying to stop ds2 from launching himself off far-to- high climbing frames. I'm staying put!

DS1 had pre school this morning so that's my excuse to have an hour of tv this afternoon! :0)
The park sucks this time of year, muddy and wet!

Today is a day for getting blankets and cushions out for 'dens' if ever I saw one. Horrible weather and the thought of a park...

YABU-sorry but I am with valium on this one! We try to get out every day unless its really pouring down. DC was at nursery this morning then home for lunch and an hour of cbeebies while I tidied up-so shoot me!-and then an hour at the park. We love to get out and run off a bit of energy though was a bit Sad that we were the only ones at the park.

That's what the TV is for!!!
