LYNX gift set for Christmas and inflict pain on them !!!

that stuff is vile.. and in the hands of a 12 year old boy and his 10 year old brother it's lethal!

It stinks and I've had to open all the windows upstairs to get rid of the fog and smell!

The chocolate one smells like Satans bottom, "Oust" is your friend Eve.

There's nothing worse than walking past a group of teenage boys and being fumigated by the aura of lynx surrounding them.

Tell them they may only apply it next to an open window.

TBH I find all spray deodorants suffocating, blerg!

It is banned from our house,

if you want to survive the teenage years, ban it or spend the next eight years choking.

It can make you vomit.

Especially when pregnant, hence the ban.

We have similar issues with DSs Mickey Mouse aftershave (he is 4) - I am dreading the Lynx days already!

He just covers himself in it - it is awful, he even told me he uses it as willy cream - WTF - he is actually slightly insane but his brother thinks its hilarious!

I know what you mean wrt the fog. It's horrendous! I can feel my chest tighten up as I near his lair room.

I have the same problem with DD and 'Impulse' - she has to put it on outside now!

My son wafts down the stairs every morning covered in it, uses the shampoo, then the deoderant, then the body spray, then has another aftershave in his bag.

I tell him every morning he smells like a tarts handbag, or rather he pre empts me and says it himself. It's my own fault I started it, and the price of the shampoo is extortionate.

If you think the price of the shampoo is extortionate, don't even contemplate the hot water cost from the seemingly obligatory 40 minute showers beforehand!

DD's form did a secret santa before Xmas, and she drew a boys name out the hat. So I avoided Lynx, and got her a David Beckham smelly set instead, on the grounds I'd heard it wasn't as bad as Lynx.

Turns out it was a boy who drew her name out the hat. She got smellies in return (guess his mum had the reverse convo to me "Mum! What do I get a boy? I don't know anything about them!!!!)

Mum always buys Lynx for my brother who keeps trying to tell her not to.

I'd sooner the smell of Lynx rather than the gut wrenching smell of teenage body odour which has been known to knock my sideways at times!

DH and I dated back in high school, back when he used to marinate himself in Lynx Africa. I found some a couple of years back and begged him to wear it for me. He said no. Spoil sport.

Lynx is evil, but apparently compulsory. DS (12) bathes in it daily. I'm just glad he washes tbh.

The David Beckham one isn't as bad but wait until you have four or five boys getting ready to go out. They all like a different flavour and it drives me bonkers. Why can't they get ready at one of the other houses for a change?

Nothing beats the day I came home, parked on the road and got out of the car. I knew immediately that ds1 was home early because I could smell the lynx from the pavement outside. And yes we have a small front garden. It was horrendous!!

In the 80's my then teenage dsis perfume of choice was a really pungent cheap copy of Dior Poison, aptly named "Victim". The whole house stank and even now nearly 30 years later I still can't get a whiff of Poison without gagging!

DS has had it for a while.

You go into him bedroom in the morning and you cant see for all the mist.

My MIL still buys my DH a Lynx set EVERY Christmas and birthday! I put them straight in the bin

It doesn't get any better, ds1 is 18 in a few weeks and still over uses the bloody stuff.

Dp has a real aversion to it so he's only aloud to sprey in his bedroom. However the bathroom is on the bottom floor so the extractor fan has to be on whenever he bathes or the suff stinks the kitchen out

Sugarice is right - Lynx, horrid though it is, is infinitely preferable to stale sweaty hormonal teenage boys.

My Mum has bought it for my boys, I said as long as she gets the shower gel as well as the spray its ok.

Like others Im glad that it encourages showers!

Just feel sorry for secondary teachers - having to walk down a corridor lined by Boys spraying Lynx and girls spraying Hollister - Gas masks should be compulsory!

why do they feel the need for body spray shower and deodorant should do,

bet the teachers are immune to the smell of lynx and hormones
