AIBU to expect a better service from scottish gas?

My boiler konked last week. We have homecare cover with scottish gas. On friday they sent out a lad who looked 16 if he was a day. Spent 2 hours farting about and then told me he "thought" it needed a part. This was after he had spent about 30 minutes on the phone obvioulsy asking someone more senior what to do.

Yesterday I ws given a 2 hour time slot-turned up again just as I was leaving to collect dc from nursery and said couldnt wait.

Back this morning-haf and hour later than scheduled. Again same wee boy. Been here for 2 hours and has now called another engineer out to help him. I have to leave in 20 minutes to collect my dc and am not happy to leave them in my houseAngry

AIBU to expect a better service or do I have to suck it up?...

Make a complaint to head office for the waste of your time and the lack of heating and hot water (I'm assuming this is the case considering its the boiler but feel free to ignore if not Smile). If they promise to provide a service at a certain time, then send out someone with a limited amount of knowledge then they have broken that promise.

I also wouldn't want to leave them in the house- do you have a neighbour who could pop in for a bit?

I did the same with British Gas, and they gave me a £50 reduction off my bill Wink
