It's nothing earth shattering in the scheme of things!
I'm pretty open minded about most things, but a couple I know have just posted a load of photos on FB of something they did over the holidays, and I really don't know what I think or feel-not that it's any of my business-but it's just not sitting right with me.
The photos are of an outing with friends to a Rocky Horror Show, where they did the full on dressing up thing.
Don't get me wrong, I've been to rocky horror a few times and done the dressing up, and it's been brilliant fun, but I'm seeing photos of them, the guy in particular, fully dressed in stockings etc, along with their 17 year old daughter who has the stockings/basque/sexy thing going on too.
I know as far as anyone can ever know that it's been done only in the spirit of the Rocky Horror thing, but can't help feeling really uncomfortable at seeing kind of provocative photos of father and daughter together like this.

I need to get a map to the grip shop don't I ....

Yeah you do need to relax about this

Viviennemary · 04/01/2013 17:17

I wouldn't be interested in taking part in that kind of thing. But if other people want to that's fine. Can't see why your so bothered about it.

FACEBOOK IS THE DEVILS WORK

its a tad yuk though....

God MN has turned me into such a fucking feminist that ANYONE WHOEVER in a sexy basque offends me

Shesparkles · 04/01/2013 17:35

Fromparis, I agree, FB CAN be the devil's work, but used appropriately it can be a great tool for, keeping in touch with and up to date with friends and family.
Would you like me to pick you up a grip at the shop when I go to buy mine?

Rocky Horror isn't vaguely sexy. It's absurd, tongue-in-cheek, funny and silly. I've been to the live show 4 times, always dressed up & never encountered anyone appearing genuinely sexually appealing in all their get-up.

^^ Ken put it well!!! You have missed Christmas, when is your birthday, maybe we could club together and buy you tha grip you so badly need. Grin

although when I went as Magenta I looked damn sexy

Jins · 04/01/2013 17:50

I'm going next month but my Magenta outfit is far too small and I never liked my Columbia outfit. I have decided to go as Riff Raff :)

simplesusan · 04/01/2013 17:56

Yes you need to get a grip.

Everyone dresses up at The Rocky Horror Show.

LaCiccolina · 04/01/2013 17:58

Nah no map required, just a time machine. Ur plainly older in head I presume than the mirror suggests....

Vbu

Shesparkles · 04/01/2013 18:05

FFS how many times do I need to say I've been to Rocky Horror and loved it???

It was the pictures of father and daughter together that made me question my own thinking.
LaCiccolina, please be assured I can be extremely immature Grin

That's not something I would button my cardi up for.

It sounds like father and daughter have a good relationship to me.
