AIBU to think that if Boden are going to recommend Collect+ as the best way to return stuff that they should make sure the packaging they originally send the goods in is acceptable to return via collect+?

Just repackaged my box with a few things to return, paid my 2.95 online, took it to the shop and it was refused as the box was too big Angry.

It's taken me long enough to bloody get round to packing it up!

I sympathise.

Parcelling returns is a COMPLETE pain in the neck. Very time-consuming.

Ooh, I took a box in yesterday that was technically 1.5cm too big, they didn't catch me out, though. How much bigger was your box, Kitty?

MrsKitty · 03/01/2013 19:20

Not sure - prob about 3 cms - he had his tape measure out and everything!

Just annoys me that Boden have sent out stuff in packaging which is too big to be returned using their recommended return method, so I've got to find suitable packaging & repackage it all...

Feel a polite rant coming on to Boden Customer Services....

3cm! Wow. Shock
Can't blame you for rant.

my Ds ordered a top from Asos ..too small....the thought of queuing in post office on weds put me right off so found out about collect + ... went in to local sweet shop after resealing original bag and was out in 1 minute .. was great ... bet that has put you right off !!

jiggles01 · 04/01/2013 13:28

and it was free ..Smile

My nearest collect+ is 16 miles away. I was seriously pissed off with asda direct before Christmas when they said I had to go to a 'convenience' store 16 miles away to return an item. I wonder how many post offices I have nearer than 16 miles from me? Masses

MrsKitty · 04/01/2013 20:22

Envy jiggles01. Thing is, I think collect+ is a great idea, and because of the (usual) convenience of it and not having to queue at the post office etc I don't mind (much) that I pay £2.95 to return to Boden, but this has really pissed me off!

JamesBexleySpeed - That's pretty poor that ASDA offer no alternative at all!

I don't think I've ever bought anything from Boden that hasn't come with free returns. Anything that has to go back gets sent through the Post Office in town. Much easier.

JamesBexleySpeed · 04/01/2013 21:53

I got quite arsy and it was agreed that I could take it to my local post office one mile away. As a special favour and all that balls.
