DD and I love to sit and watch Labyrinth, we both love the Goblin King (albeit for different reasons as she is 5, and I am... not).

DH has declared it rubbish, I am most put out - I may have been cross about it for hours now - as even without Bowie appeal I think it's a fabulously imaginative film that definitely stands the test of time.

He thinks she should be watching something a bit more modern.

I think he's being a twat and thoroughly enjoy loud tuneless renditions of 'Dance Magic' with DD.

I am considering divorcing him for his clear lack of taste lighthearted threat... maybe

Loved it until my early twenties. Then made the mistake of re-watching it at 32 totally sober. Destroyed many a happy memory. Remember never to watch a movie which you thought was fab when you were younger 10 years later.

Love that film, luckily my DH appreciates it too. One for tomorrow (have 2DDs full of colds).

When we go to Alton Towers we go to where the wee sculptures are that look like the "one of us always lies & one of always tells the truth" doors & do some of their lines

Flight of the Navigator is also a classic, but doesn't have Mr Bowie in it in stupidly tight tights.

Flight of the Navigator is a cracking film. DS loves it.

I recently looked up the kid who was in it to discover he has had a chequered adult life .

DS also loves Labyrinth. ...and laughs like a drain at Hoggle weeing into the little pond outside the labyrinth.
