Just that really.. Is it cheeky of me to ask DH for some pretty pearl earrings for my birthday? Haven't asked before and if he doesn't get them will buy them for myself - aibu though?

You can always ask! Personally I would just buy them and tell him after!

In fact, the mere mention of class and breeding confirms that it is unlikely they'd be recognised by the accuser even if they walked up her garden path offering pearl necklaces for all.

I'm difficult to buy for, and fed up of taking things back. I started a new thing last year where I saw something I liked and my DH asked for contributions towards it. So no,not cheeky. But pearls....necklaces.....!! Can I do a fnarr?
