I cannot stand the wet leggings look. It really should only be worn by tall and thin people.

Also knee/thigh high boots.

And crop tops.

And shorts with your bum cheeks hanging out.

Definitely each to their own

(As I'm guilty of wearing uggs (definitely function over fashion), chelsea boots and I love my Barbour coat, which I know a majority of people hate)

so what fashion do you hate?

Onesies dont bother me as people dont tend to wear them out of the house, although i did spot my neighbour de-icing her car in her onesie a while back which was not a pretty sight Grin.

I'm struggling with childrens fashion at the moment, dd1 is almost 9 and non-girly, all the kids clothes seem to be really grown up Sad.

TraineeBabyCatcher · 01/01/2013 16:26

Heavy eye makeup and that orange tint to the skin.

Leggings without a top that ends no higher than the join of your legs. On thin people they look like they forgot to put a skirt on, see above for anyone carrying any weight plus the nice hoof made between your legs.

Anything PB.

Anything leather, ditto animal print.

Shirts done up to the top with no tie.

Cheap ugg boots.

Most things pink.

NewYearsEvelyn · 01/01/2013 16:27

People who make 'fashion' choices based on surgery...ie

over-use of botox so the face becomes immobile
lips that are clearly overplumped
fake boobs
Fake tan that's a lovely orange colour
slimness that clearly isn't natural (I've been naturally thin, when I was young and it has a look about it ime)
The unhealthy aspiration for being thin over all else
cheap hair extensions
Over-long fake lashes

In terms of clothes, I'm not a huge fan of leggings, but can see how they might work for walking the dog or wearing with tunics. I hate thin leggings on larger girls. They just don't work, even if they are comfy. Shiny, metalicised leggings on larger girls and actually, any girl over the age of 10. Very fashionable clothes on more mature ladies. They often don't work.

Dressing for comfort works well for me. To some degree I don't worry too much about what others think :)

ollieshair · 01/01/2013 16:28

I am torn on animal print. I look really tacky in it, my neighbour looks fabulous and classy.

TraineeBabyCatcher · 01/01/2013 16:31

I just done like animal print anything. Clothes, bedding, cushions etc.

Best left to the animals that one. Looks good on them.

TraineeBabyCatcher · 01/01/2013 16:33

*dont

PurpleKittyKnitting · 01/01/2013 16:33

saintmerryweather I too hate the hairband on a baby girl that has nothing but fluff on her head! Saw one yesterday for the first time in AGES!!

I had never even HEARD of PB bags until a couple of years ago and I think they look sooo tacky. some I have seen remind me of the bags I used to get as a kid, like a cloth Rupert the Bear bag that had been put through a laminator machine. The jackets look terrible too

Wrong style bras under strappy or racer back tops, thin leggings or a very thin pale jersey dress and the women is wearing a thong >puke

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/01/2013 16:33

I used to hate animal print but now have a couple of bits and think it can look good if done very subtly. Eg leopard print ballet flats with slightly cropped black skinnies and a plain top.

Alisvolatpropiis · 01/01/2013 16:36

Peplum anything

Boot cut jeans

Uggs

Dip hem skirts and dresses

Anything neon

Side partings on teenage girls so extreme they looking as though they've actually got a comb over

I wear skinny jeans and animal print all the time. Often at the same time. Looks great Grin

ebersneezer · 01/01/2013 16:39

I can't think of particular fashions or items that I dislike. Really unflattering clothes or wearing clothes that restrict your movement too much is what irritates me.

So I have nothing against leggings but thin ones worn with short tops are nasty most of the time. I don't want to see your bum wobbling thanks. You may have spent £100 on that pair of sandals and they may be "on trend" but toes and heels over hanging detracts from them. Get the bloody right size.

I walked behind a women in some quite spectacular heels yesterday, but they were so high she wobbled and had to stomp whilst hunching. It didn't have the sexy glam look she was after. Skirts and dresses that are too tight so you can't walk or sit nicely, again not sexy. I'll add nails that are so long that the person can't use their hands normally.

Mrsrudolphduvall · 01/01/2013 16:39

Boob tubes and other strapless tops.
Mostly worn by women with huge boobs and big arms.

In fact most summer clothes are hideous in this country. We just don't do it well.

uptheamp · 01/01/2013 16:40

nothing really, but hate when trends take over and everyone wears the same thing, like the gypsy skirt and maxi dresses.

PrincessAnastasia · 01/01/2013 16:41

I used to think the same for animal print but then saw a gorgeous pair of jeans and I usually play it same in what I wear but I thought oh to hell with it Smile

First night I wore them I got a lots of compliments

Or maybe they were just doing a Regina George -

"Oh my god I love those jeans, where did you get them?"

.... "those jeans are the ugliest f-ing jeans I'e ever seen in my life"

I've never understood earrings in general. Seems like an odd part of your body to attach jewellery to.

DontmindifIdo · 01/01/2013 16:42

Uggs are hideous - they are an expensive way to make yourself look bad. No matter if they are comfy, for the price, there are a selection of cheaper but classier looking boot options - next time buy some brown knee high boots half a side too big and wear with thick skiing socks, you will be just as toasty but looking a lot less chav.

I'll add legging worn as anything other that basically thick tights. and any non-plain leggings.

Anyone wearing clothes too small. (that's not a fashion issue, but more style)

Animal print is very hard to wear, best kept to accessories for most woman.

HDee · 01/01/2013 16:42

Nails. We're one nail, usually the ring finger is painted a different colour to the others. Why?

noddyholder · 01/01/2013 16:43

I don't like those davina type dresses
Nude plastic looking shoes
Over done hair
Colourful makeup
Anything rock and roll if you aren't that looks mumsy imo

Mominatrix · 01/01/2013 16:43

Are Ugg boots fashion or just footwear?

My personal fashion dislikes are head-to-toe designer looks, platform heels, and people who dress without thinking about what actually suits them.

Moistenedbint · 01/01/2013 16:43

Animal print, tattoos (so unique they're now mainstream), trainers, branded designer wear as typically sported by anti-social, "well ard" knuckle-dragging bellends (ie stone island), Vans, Nike, the knock-off Louis Vuitton epidemic...

PrincessAnastasia · 01/01/2013 16:44

In fact most summer clothes are hideous in this country. We just don't do it well

Not even a fashion rant but I bloody hate walking around town on my lunch break on a "hot" day and seeing men with their tops off etc.

It's rarely ever THAT hot. I swear when the UK gets a little bit of sun everyone seems to go a little crazy.

Padded bomber jacket with fur hood worn with skinny jeans, 'ugh' boots and a large PB bag. Oh, mustn't forget the hoop earrings and sour expression.

KittyFane1 · 01/01/2013 16:50

Agh, summer... 20 something bloke in sleeveless top so that I can umm, admire his steroid enhanced body builder muscles, tattoos and gold bracelet Hmm

Moistenedbint · 01/01/2013 16:51

Tangerine perma tan, hair extensions, the emaciated look..

mymatemax · 01/01/2013 16:51

boys with their leans hanging down so they cant walk cos the crotch is at the knee.

Also fully grown men who wear kids clothes - baggy jeans or 3/4 shorts and high top trainers WHY WHY WHY would you wear them once out of primary school.

Football shirts when not playing football.
Leggings with pretty much anything but especially short tops.. as favoured by some ladies with a fuller figure.

Those dresses or tops with only one shoulder strap

Sensible M&S "ladies" wear on 18 yr old girls, why dress like your granny?
