I am wearing a lovely bra that I tried on this morning, felt very comfy so off came the tags and now its hurting and rubbing and I cant take it back!! I have dozens of bras upstairs that felt lovely and comfy when I first tried them on - so annoying - does this happen to you or is it just me?

Try the pull-on ahh bra rip offs that Asda do. They're only £6, they pull on over the head. Comfiest bra I ever tried! I'm a DD cup and they give me plenty of support.

BigShinyBaubles · 30/12/2012 20:50

I totally agree.
Boobs are a pain in the arse

soontobeburns · 30/12/2012 20:54

Really agree but not with the ahh bra. For me its got no support at all!!

plum100 · 30/12/2012 20:59

glad its not just me then - the ahh bra ? does it look pretty?

you've got a comfy bra? where did that come from? bras are mens inventions to keep bosoms in shapes they like. they aren't meant to be comfortable.

soontobeburns · 31/12/2012 00:04

Yes Js it is. Im an f cup so yes probably too big but my mum is a d and they just fit like a top.

Imagine a vest with the support. Thats better supoort than an ahh bra.

SquinkiesRule · 31/12/2012 02:22

I have a coobie bra that I always wear as soon as it's washed and dried. I like the sound of that George one from Asda.
I'm between sizes, and nothing is comfy I have a drawer full of useless pretty stuff that rides up, too tight, too loose, looks funky, you name it. Bras are the bane of my life. I wish I could wear a sports bar everyday but I am a bit flat and it makes me totally flat Sad

Yes op it's bloody annoying to spend soooo much money and then not be able to wear again and have no grounds to return. I have bloody hundreds sitting in a draw ( don't know why I keep them) might as well throw £20 quid at the marks and spencer lady and leave with nothing - sorry rant over!

HazleNutt · 31/12/2012 06:38

Go get fitted at Bravissimo. If they fit you, but sell you a bra that is not the correct size and starts rubbing after a few hours, they will actually take it back. This is especially relevant if you have previously been fitted by M&S.

cricketballs · 31/12/2012 07:06

The ahh bras are fantastic. I have got the 'real ones' and the give me loads of support and are so comfy (E cup). Didn't know Asda did their version, certainly lots cheaper thanks for the tip Welsh Grin

Montybojangles · 31/12/2012 07:11

Have a couple of shock absorber ones, very comfy.

Worth every penny. Just use the sexy ones for going out Wink

Grumpla · 31/12/2012 07:16

Ditto the bravissimo recommendation!

If a bra looks /feels ok initially but then rubs / rides up / digs in it is not the right size / shape for you! They will be able to fit you correctly and as long as you have been fitted in the store will accept a return if it turns out not to fit after all. This has only ever happened to me once, in all the many years I have been going to bravissimo. They are brilliant!

Twinklestarstwinklestars · 31/12/2012 08:04

Wish there was a bravissimo near me, the nearest is 80 miles away!

I'm an f cup and the only ones i've found comfy are goddess ones from simply yours, most dig in at the sides in me but these ones are brilliant.

SorrelForbes · 31/12/2012 08:19

Ditto HazelNutt and Grampla. Get fitted somewhere like Bravissimo. A properly fitting bra will not rub.

SorrelForbes · 31/12/2012 08:20

It is quite likely that you're wearing too big a back whih is resulting in the bra moving around and causing rubbing.

HazleNutt · 31/12/2012 08:28

Plum, if you would take your under- and overbust measurements, we might be able to guess here if it's simply the fit and not bras as such. I used to have exactly the same issue - bras looked and felt fine when I tried them on, but after a few hours started rubbing, climbing up and giving me a four-boob. I was simply wearing the wrong size.
