Or
So, my DH blah blah blah...
AIBU to be irritated? Probably.

Gets on my tits too, but I don't draw attention to it on the thread.

It's much easier to spot the threads that are started by people with far too much spare time on their hands!

I don't think it happens often enough for me to care. I might have done it a few times too.

MrsWolowitz I was meaning OP's and threads like this one, not people who starts a sentence with "so" or "ok"

i think it's a way of ordering your thoughts. it is for me anyway. like taking a deep breath and thinking what you need to say. when i use it, it's usually in threads where what i'm going to say is hard for me to 'get out in the open' so the 'ok' is a deep breath in preparation. i understand i dont need to put that in text but in threads like that i am usually typing as i think so as to get my feelings out there in as honest a way as possible to get the whole story across.

it's usually not the start of a joke.

So, okay, you think using that makes threads sound like a joke? And, so, okay, some others agree with you?

Interesting, like, I don't agree, so...okay?
