AIBU to feel that as I get older, the issues I believe in are becoming incredibly emotive

There are issues I have always argued the point on. But recently I have found that I actually emotional about them.

Is this just getting older and more informed? A thread on here earlier tonight, which was totally fine this isn't a thread about a thread, brought to light how passionately I feel about various issues.

Am I alone?

No, I think I understand what you mean. I've always had things I've believed in and things I feel strongly about, but more recently I've found those feelings much stronger and, as you said, have a physical emotional response to them.

I find as I've got older I've become more interested and active on certain issues. It's difficult not to get emotional especially if you feel strongly about something. I find feeling 'helpless' in a situation affects me more.

No, you aren't alone. Or, at least, you've got one other person with you!

In the penultimate episode of 'Homeland' (stick with me here!) Saul Berensen says something to the effect of "Everything matters more as I get older" and that, despite the utter ridiculousness of that programme, really struck a chord with me. I suppose it's to do with having seen it all before; it doesn't make you jaded, it just means that everything that happens makes other resonances and memories chime for you.

I think that's it Wallison, that quote is so true!
