To think that the new version of 'Ker Plunk' is badly designed and utter gash?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Nothing wrong with the original. Bought it for DS and not best pleased coz it's badly constructed and fiddly. Anyone else having the same issue?

We had one when the DC were younger. Not a patch on when I was young, very badly built IMO. I couldn't get the rods in properly.

Guess Who has been totally cheapened too, flimsy and have to complete the assembly. It looks like the manufacturers can't be bothered to complete it before selling.

TheInvisiblePoster · 26/12/2012 19:53

We bought DD a Grafix fashion wheel for Christmas and it's so flimsy and completely crap. :(

boysarelikehogs · 26/12/2012 19:53

It is shit. Have you worked out you have to really bend the shitty straws to get them to stay in the shitty big holes? Helps reduce the shitness slightly.

Sparklingbrook · 26/12/2012 19:53

Guess Who is a disgrace Glitter. Assembling it is a nightmare, and it doesn't want to stay assembled. Angry

Lorelilee · 26/12/2012 19:58

Boys Yup, major part of my gripe - NOTHING about it is as good as the original. The middle green bit falls a bloody part!

Ahh nothing is like the old days Sad

We have the Alien Freefall, Toy Story version. It is brill but seem really small compared to what I thought

hophophippidtyhop · 27/12/2012 18:56

We had the alien freefall too, utter flimsy shite compared to mine. Chucked it out and got out the one dp bought me 10 years ago after saying I'd always wanted one and never had it

EuphemiaInExcelsis · 27/12/2012 18:58

I was covering a P2 class on supply last term and the usual teacher had brought in Kerplunk for Golden Time.

I banned it!

The children couldn't assemble it, I found it tricky, and there were always arguments even before the bloody marbles went in!

Stupid game.

PessaryPam · 27/12/2012 19:09

We played The Really Nasty Horse Racing game and it was brill. Got the hat tip to buy it on MN, so thanks guys.

RooneyMara · 27/12/2012 19:18

Oh tell me about it. I bought my children Guess Who, new version - it's shit. The pictures are so small you can hardly see them. It's really not clear what features everyone has.

I miss my old game I had 30 years ago. Why have they gone all rubbish?

RooneyMara · 27/12/2012 19:20

Oh we got the 'electronic' version of guess who, it didn't need assembling - at least that part is Ok. Still not put any batteries in it as I can't see the point, we're just playing it without.

I'm just glad I only paid about £11 for it instead of the proper price.

TraineeBabyCatcher · 27/12/2012 19:21

We bought ds some games this year for Christmas and all have been really crappy quality compared to the ones I had when I was his age.

TinkerMcJingles · 27/12/2012 20:45

Sparklingbrook I agree wholeheartedly with Mousetrap. I bought is for DS a year or two ago and I followed the instructions to the letter but could not set it up. It just wouln't fit together. It went in the bin in the end.

Sparklingbrook · 27/12/2012 20:48

We had Rumble in the Jungle too Tinker-that was much the same. Sad

Casualty · 27/12/2012 20:50

I had this last year with Kerplunk, was so disappointed. This year I have found out that (much loved) Game of Life is so complicated to set up that after 3 attempts I can't even be bothered any more Sad
