I really fail to understand what was achieved by the protesters against gay rights protesting at the Sandy Hook funerals. Innocent children were killed and they use it to spout their hatefulness. It just makes me sad.

I am on my crappy phone but it was a linked article I read on FB. Its the same crowd that protest at soldiers funerals.

It just makes me so sad and disgusted. This community has been through enough.

I've been following the Anonymous Twitter feed for days and being highly amused at their antics. (Anonymous are a loose affiliation of unknown "hacktivists" who have hijacked WBC twitter feeds, and staged a DDOS attack on their main website godhatesfags.com amongst other stuff...)

There are also Newtown community FB pages where citizens rally round to provide a silent human wall between WBC (if they turn up) and the mourning families. Various motorcycle clubs and off-duty NYPD officers have done this duty. Other called round local hotels and motels to warn them WBC would be looking for accommodation (how fitting at Xmas!) and what kind of people they are; WBC are now finding it hard to keep a roof over their heads, as wherever they arrive they are turned away.

That's heartening, OldLady, much more effective than engaging with these foul beings and giving them the oxygen of publicity.

Well done to all of those protecting the mourners. They shouldn't have though.

They need a fucking punch really. I am becoming more of an advocate of violence when I hear about things like this and all those wife beaters.
